I'm fairly new to mumsnet and thought i would instigate a Sussex meetup although i am struggling to think of places that would suit all types of weather!! Any suggestions?

Hi Sporty Spice,

Tilgate Park in Crawley is nice weather permitting and the pub there does have a wacky warehouse for the kids. Whereabouts are you from?

Heard of Tilgate Park but never been there, sounds like a good idea especially from the "all weather" point of view..anyone else got any ideas or wish to suggest a date?

Hi, I can't do Wednesdays. Days I can do are Mondays (anytime), Tuesday pm or Thursday pm.

sportyspice · 13/09/2004 20:11

I can do Tues the 21st in the am although judging by the weather had we ought to do something like CJ's playland instead which is in Burgess Hill - i expect you've all heard the radio adverts.

Just realised snowbell can't do Tues am...doh! Moving on then, how about Monday 27th am?

I think we need to go by "first come first served" - Funnytype, since you were on this thread first and can only do Wednesdays or Fridays (days that I can never do) please go ahead and arrange it for a day when you have the car. I will bow out. Funnytype, I will be seeing you anyway soon at our evening out. Anyone else interested in our night out in Reigate? See Redhill thread.

funnytype · 15/09/2004 15:48

Hi Snowbell,

Actually Sporty Spice started the thread but I guess I have trying to arrange a meet up a lot too.

Can anyone at all make a Weds or Friday and we can go from there?

The only other option is if anyone wants to meet up at Copthorne and I can walk there!

Hope it's ok to invite myself along as it would be great to get to know some other mums.I can make most days and have a car.I am also newish to mumsnet.

sportyspice · 16/09/2004 20:36

I was once indecisive but now i'm not so sure Right, i'm taking the lead and saying Wednesday 29 (give all a bit of notice)and like the idea of Tilgate but having not been there i'm unsure whether the pub with the wacky warehouse will be enough to occupy the children if the weather is horrendously wet and rainy, hence my suggestion for CJ's playland. I'm also going to take the lead by suggesting 2:00pm.
