DS3 is now 19 days old and I'm starting to get itchy feet just wanting to go out for coffee or something, however most of my close friends that I'd like to go for coffee with or windowshop in town with work and so times to meet-up in the day are limited...........

ConnorTraceptive · 14/06/2007 20:14

no one wants to admit to being from wellingborough

fannyannie · 14/06/2007 20:15

LOL - I know it's a bit of "chav city" (especially during the week in town.......) but not all of us are actually from "round 'ere"....we just happen to live here

Yes all those chav's piling into 'Housewife's Choice' to get their white goods. Only in wellingborough could a shop be called housewife's choice
still could be worse you could live in corby

Hello Fannyannie. Can't help directly as I don't live in Wellingborough any more (shook the dust from my heels many years ago) but I'm sure I've seen the name pop up quite a few times on Mumsnet - some quite recently. Might be worth a search if you haven't already.

Hi there, I'm a new first time mum (my daughter is 7 seven weeks old) living in Northampton. Seeing as all our friends and family rushed to come and see us immediately after she was born (I think the novelty must have worn off since) we are now finding ourselves on our lonesome most days and are looking for local new mums and tots to break the monotony. I'm also new to mumsnet so I'm not sure what the next step would be, but I'd be more than happy to meet up for a coffee sometime soon.
