AAAAAAAGH...we moved to Somerset in october last year and get free tickets to the festival because we're in the catchment area...in fact we can see the fence and main stage being erected from DS's 3rd floor, very high up, skylight window of his bedroom.

TBH it's really not my sort of thing but DH keeps raving about it - he's a big WHO fan.......anybody else going ??

Or any inputs on what to expect....

PS Use to be a bit of a raver in the 80's though those days seem like a long and distant memory !!!!

Not this year although Dh ahs worked it for very many years (carnival club local to you in Meare if you went to see it?), although we're away studying atm but perhaps returning to your locality at some point (I used to wrok at Strode and would love to again).

Dh says its worth going, take a small pop up tent you can just leave behind, there vcan be horrid queues getting on anf off so best to stay. He likes greenfields for a bit of fun / relaxation and recommends the family area.

I did the training for seurity actually, but it was they year security was being threatened with knives for their tickets, so DH went in my place.

I've heard that the kids area is really good (DH been 'planning' our 'visit') Fortunbately we'll be in walking distance so good news is we can come back and snuggle up in our own beds after the days "festivities" (sounds like a WI jam making event !!!)

We are going on the Sunday, it's great! The site is so large with so many different things going on I'm sure you will find something you will enjoy. The green fields, the children's field and some of the smaller stages are all very mellow.
