Hello,

We are moving to Berkhamsted late AUG/early SEPT 07. We have a two year old daughter.
Even though we have friends and family in surrounding areas, we would appreciate some suggestions for pre-schools and toddler groups as I would like to meet some local Mums!!

Thanks!

Hi there

Welcome to Berko!

New to mumsnet, and found your message while browsing Might be too late now, but here goes...

There are loads of pre-schools and toddler groups. Best pre-school is the one in the Baptist Church (but with massive 1 year plus waiting list ), the other one is at Sunnyside Church - good too and, I think, less of a waiting list. 3 mornings a week, plus lunch clubs.

There are masses of toddler groups. Obviously these don't start until autumn term, but the 2 I know about are:
'First steps' at the Baptist Church on the corner of Raven's Lane (same venue as the toddler group). Every Wednesday at 1.30pm and starts up again on 4th Sept.
'Little Fishes' at the hall of St Peters Church (the big one as you come into Berko on the High Street). 9.30am every Friday. Not sure when it starts again, but presume 1st week of term too.

We also have 2 year old daughter, and baby 2 due in October

Hi there - saw Berko and had to add a message!

I used to live in Dudswell and went to St Mary's in Northchurch and then Ashlyns many, many moons ago! Then we moved to the South Coast but I still keep in contact with a couple of friends in the area.

Enjoy your meetups!!!
