Are you C's beatch or her fag? If the latter, why aren't you making her toast and polishing her shoes? If the former, why aren't you... (fill in the blanks yourself)
I'm in Machen - howdy, near-neighbour...

CustardosFAG · 21/05/2007 16:51

ok confession time please dont dont hide from me but i actually live in graig-y-rhacca oh the shame not through choice though and hoping to move as soon as poss

wotsits · 21/05/2007 17:04

Why the shame (I'm new to Wales)? Where are you moving to, CF?

CustardosFAG · 21/05/2007 17:44

anywhere thats not g-y-r lol if you knew caerphilly well you would know why im ashamed lol graig-y-rhacca along with 2-3 other places are classed as rough council estates altho having lived here for 2years its not that bad really i havent been robbed or assualted or had any kind of drugs pushed on me and actually the school is very good my ds loves it and his teachers have helped him a lot (he was a bit slow as we moved around a bit due to being homeless and moving from family memeber to b&b's and back again)

wotsits · 21/05/2007 17:49

CF, why don't you check out the south Wales meet-up thread? Some possible venues have been suggested...

CustardosFAG · 22/05/2007 17:18

i did have a look but i dont seem to know any of the places mentioned my dp is going back to work soon and the shifts are weird times and unfortunatley neither of us can drive so travelling to these places with 3 kids 2 under 2 might be a bit hard

Mumooms · 16/06/2008 10:45

Thought I'd revive this thread as I'm new to Caerphilly and don't have any friends! Any offers?

I'm in Newport too! Had a look at the Cardiff thread but I don't drive and ds is at school so Friday no good. I look after a baby 2 mornings a week and would like to meet at a newport park if anyone fancies it?

welshdeb · 17/06/2008 20:14

jammi - I work Mon and Weds. We tend to go to Bellvue park, it's only about a 10 min walk from where I look after baby and it's good exercise for me because it's very hilly!!! And the cafe does fab coffee cake!!!!

Welshdeb - how far is Blackwood? All these places sound familiar but I have no clue where half of them are!

Blackwood is about 10 miles north up past Rogerstone.
My dc were born in the Royal Gwent.

jofeb04 · 22/06/2008 23:11

Welshdeb, where in blackwood do you live? I'm in Markham!

Mumooms, I'm often in caerphilly, so email me on
jopowell1 at yahoo dot co dot uk if ya want to!

mogs0 · 25/06/2008 16:58

jammi - yes, Bellvue is next to the Gwent. Very dog friendly, it seems to be a regular meeting place for dog owners!! Have been going there since March and see pretty much the same people each week. There's a cafe at the top near the car-park. I'm down there most Mondays and Tuesdays. My charge goes to sleep within 10 minutes of being in the buggy so I'm usually to be found sitting on a bench reading a book!

welshdeb - ds was born at the Gwent too, I point it out to him everytime we pass it! Before I registered at the hospital my aunt (a retired nurse/midwife) pointed out the maternity wing and said she remembered them building/opening it. I thought she was going to say it opened a couple of years before.....no, it opened in 1968!! I was hoping they'd redecorated since then!!

Mumooms · 29/06/2008 00:05

jofeb I've emailed you!
