Incomers to Edinburgh

Are there any 'incomers' to Edinburgh out there up for a meet up - very new to Edinburgh like me or old hands at using the city? It wold be great to compare notes at this stage - I have been here a month so far and have done a great Lothian meet up already - so it could be good.

I think Nailpolish is moving to Edinburgh soon.

Thanks! I can't do the Falkirk meet up cos of the date - maybe a general Edinburgh meet up would be best. I know Kitty17 would be up for it too. I've had a few replies on other threads from incomers and so thought it might be a goer - not that I'm desperate for friends or anything...! Just a little impatient! Things are starting to work out though. We've been to the meadows quite a lot and the new playground is ace. The weather is critical for that but it might be a place to do a picnic meet up or something?

Hi there,

The Meadows is a wonderful place, (I grew up there) and yes you really have to have the weather for it. Also

Arthur Seat (Queens Park), there are a few ponds around there and a great place for a picnic again weather pending.

Princes Street grdens is also good for a picnic.

Portobello Beach (maybe not the best), but again on a good day nice for the kids to run around.

Hopefully will get a meet up arranged soon

Take care
