Hi any one out there with babies in the South Hackney Homerton/Victoria Park area? I have a four week old ds and a nearly 5 year old dd. I am on maternity leave and would like to get out and about with the baby.

Hi Winona, I live in Victoria Park with a 7 month old daughter. DO you know of any mother and baby clubs where we could meet as i am fairly new to the area?

Hi - I live nr Victoria Park, ds is nearly 2, and I work full time - there is a 1o'clock club in the park (near the deer), there used to be a baby/toddler group in St Luke's church on a Wed/Fri morning, there are others that I can't think of at the mo. What doctor's are you with? - mine do baby massage on a Tuesday morning. Also Musical bumps do 0-12month sessions on a Tuesday pm in St John's of Jerusalm or on a Friday (morning I think) in Ocean - there used to be a wiating list. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Hi there. Catgirl I must be at the same doctors as I have just come from baby massage! Thanks for the info, I will have to investigate where the churches are and find out what they have on. I have just found out about the parent and baby screenings at the Rio cinema every couple of weeks, did you know about these? The baby has to be under 1 year old to go but you don't have to worry about the baby disturbing other people. Also I think Surestart do quite a lot of groups but they all seem to be at the Hackney Wick Community Centre so I haven't explored these yet.

ZoeK I'll let you know about the groups when I find out or if you find any please let me know.

Hi girls - thanks so much for the info! I have just called Musical Bumps about their sessions on a Tuesday in St John of Jerusalem. they are not starting again until the 14th September as they run them with school terms. The lady Sarah is sending me an application form - Winona, don't know if you want to call for one - 01732 321217?? Perhaps we could meet in the park this week if you are around? Let me know..Have a great weekend!

Hi Winona,

I'm probably a bit late to this thread, but am pretty new to mumsnet. I live near Vicky park and there is tons to do. There's a fab parents and babes singing class at the Hackney Forge on Banbury St, off Vicky park rd, near the roundabout. Weds, 10 - 11am for 1yr+ and 11 - 12 for under 1 yr olds, cost £3.50, shut for half term week after next.We all go to the Lauriston afterwards for coffee, vnice. Also, the Weatherall nursery has just started a toy library on Weds, not sure of time and a mums and toddlers play group on Thursday 10 - 12, which i went to last week and it was fab. hope this helps!
