Do any of you mums meet for fun and games with your little ones? If not, does anyone fancy it?

I haven't met up with any-one form mn yet - we did have a visit planned to Cribbs but had to cancel at last minute due to litle boy being sick - would love to ahve another go at meeting up - where are you mummyalias?

waterbug · 28/07/2004 19:28

hi rubyt and everyone
I was wondering if there was anyone still around, this thread seemed to have died ages ago.Anyway, I'm still up for a meet-up though I'm going on holiday for three weeks at the end of next week.

mummyalias · 29/07/2004 10:21

Hurrah! I am not the only Bristol mum looking for a date! Hello rubyt and waterbug, I didn't think anyone was going to respond. The last thread for Bristol/Bath appears to have got a little too complicated. Anyway, I am in Hanham for the next 9ish months (cheap rent whilst husband completes business contract), but I drive so can get anywhere (child friendly)for a meet. Where are you both?

Waterbug, as you are going off on holiday (may I be nosey?...where?) do you want us to do a rush job and just agree a place and date. I'm sure others will join us (from other forums maybe?). At least this way we keep it simple.

What do you think?

hi there, I'm sorry but I really can't make it before I go away ( nowhere exciting by the way, just to Holland for the beach for two weeks and then to Germany to see family), but I've just got too much to do both at home and at work.Anyway I'm just down the road from you in Cadbury Heath and I'd love to meet up when I'm back.
Mummyalias - how old are your children? My dds are 5 and 12(going on 21)! Hope to see you on here before I go!

mrsflowerpot · 01/08/2004 20:59

I'm in Chipping Sodbury with a ds of 3y4m, so not far from either of you really. August a bit of a nightmare for me with family visits, but would love to do a meet up at some point.

mummyalias · 02/08/2004 09:18

I had almost given up on this forum! Good to hear from everyone and yes it would be splendid to meet at some point. I'm afraid my ds is younger than your children (13mths). However, I meet regularly with a group of particularly friendly forum mums both pg and with children of various ages so if anyone wants to come along feel free to drop me a line.

Holland & Germany are very exciting places waterbug! Have a great time.

I'll be back on here when I'm back from hols so see you then

Momof2 · 02/08/2004 17:01

Mrsflowerpot - you are just along from me - I'm in Yate!
Would love to do a meet up but work fulltime at the mo.

rubyt · 03/08/2004 19:32

mummyalias - would love to meet up - am busy the next few weeks but around on Tues 17.8.04 - fancy a trip to Bath?

mummyalias · 04/08/2004 08:57

Love a trip to bath on 17/08, haven't been for a while. I used to live there so have a real attachment to the place. Where and at what time? How old is your lo rubyt? Anyone else?

OP posts:
mummyalias · 04/08/2004 09:36

rubyt, I am sorry and rather stupid. I cannot make it to Bath on 17/08 as it is my wedding anniversary on 16th & we have plans for both days. I knew there was something familiar about that date, really surpassed myself this time! I am free most days after that including the following Tues (not Wednesdays). Let me know what is best for you. Apologies again from a terrible wife.

Hello ladies, babies and bumps. I am going to a lunchtime picnic on the Downs on Friday 13th(!)with some particularly friendly mums from another forum. They have a mixture of baby ages and at least one is pg. If anyone would like to come they will be most welcome.

24/08 it is. I look forward to meeting you and your boy. Probably best if we agree the finer detail nearer the time? If you want to email me direct you can do so either through the 'contact another talker' section on this site or at [email protected] However, if you use the hotmail address I suggest you post a reminder here as I always forget to check it.

Enjoy your weekend away.

OP posts:

BUMP...

OP posts:
mummyalias · 23/08/2004 10:10

Rubyt, are you there? Still on for tomrw?

OP posts:
rubyt · 23/08/2004 19:11

mummyalias - yes I am still here! Still on for tomorrow - will be coming into Bath in the afternoon - do you know any child friendly places to meet - am worried the weather will not be so good - will check to see if Bath Sports Centre has any toddler things on - will come back on line about 9pm

mummyalias · 23/08/2004 21:36

When I lived in Bath the thought of children had not even crossed my mind (10 yrs too early). Just noticed that the sports centre has soft-play sessions from 1.30-3pm on Tues in term time, but can't find anything to tell me what happens during school hols. I will do a bit of internet searching to find out our options. Back in a mo.

Frustrated that I can't find any info to tell me what we can do with toddlers in Bath that does not involve the potential for drowning (I keep finding ads for narrow boat trips and roman baths). I will phone the sports centre tom am unless you have another idea? If the weather is good there are loads of places/activities to please the little people, but in that regard I am feeling pessimistic (sp?). Got to go to bed now, v tired...

OP posts:
rubyt · 24/08/2004 08:30

mummyalias - I have just seen the weather forecast - lightning/rain etc - cannot think of any indoor activites - do you want to leave it until the weather is a little better?

mummyalias · 24/08/2004 09:39

I have to admit I have been a bit concerned that we might be stuck in some shop to escape the rain with 2 angry and bored little boys. However, don't count your chickens with regard waiting for better weather.

I often meet up with mums from the netmums(Bristol) forum, so you might want to have a look there for future outings. Drop me a line if you want to re-schedule. Better go as Ollie has discovered I am on the computer and is asking "wassat?" whilst poking the keyboard. Might pop up to cribbs for retail therapy, Ollie loves to run around the fountains. TTFN
