I'm up for it - WherestheValium and Bobalinga can vouch for my non hairy trucker status (be nice now girls!!) lol!!

MaeWest · 24/04/2007 20:44

Hi Nikki - I have 9 month old DS, what about you?

OP posts:
Nikki76 · 24/04/2007 20:47

I have a DS too! He will be one the end of May - where has the year gone??!!!

MaeWest · 24/04/2007 20:50

Know what you mean . Any ideas for where to go? If the weather's nice enough I'm thinking picnic...

OP posts:
Nikki76 · 24/04/2007 20:54

Ooh DS would love that! Would have to have a fall back venue if it rained though given our changeable weather!! Not sure where to go - I'm a nervous driver so don't tend to venture very far - was too chicken to drive to castaways even

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 08:54

I don't have a car during the week, so bus or walk for me. Whereabouts in Bristol are you?

OP posts:
Nikki76 · 25/04/2007 20:11

Fishponds!

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 20:21

OP posts:
Nikki76 · 25/04/2007 20:28

Oh cool

Anywhere in particular you fancy?

Where are all the other Bristol mums????!! Can't just be us two!!

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 20:30

Well, I have met IntergalacticWalrus and Flossam, as well as Bobalinga. Also First@Forty, but she is technically from Bath, so don't know if we should really associate with her

OP posts:
TheArmadillo · 25/04/2007 20:31

her humph.

Why wasn't I on that list. Trying to tell me something...

I'd be interested in a meet up as have handed in my dissertation now. Ds is 2.6.

Nikki76 · 25/04/2007 20:37

I've met Bobalinga and Wheresthevalium and I already know First@40.....

Now to decide a venue...Pizza Express...mmmm!!!!!!!

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 20:38

What is there park/open space-wise in Fishponds?

OP posts:
Nikki76 · 25/04/2007 20:39

Eastville Park - its lovely in the day although obv a no go area at night!! There is also a tiny park by Superdrug opposite the Post Office pub - has enough grass space for a picnic...

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 20:39

Weird - had a sudden feeling that maybe I knew you in RL Nikki, but your son is wrong age (am not stalking you honest...)

OP posts:
Nikki76 · 25/04/2007 20:40

Hee hee! I'm profoundly deaf so if you know anyone deaf, it could be me!!!

MaeWest · 25/04/2007 20:42

Keep meaning to get myself a 'Lentil Weaver' bag that I can use as a secret signal to othter MNers

OP posts:
TheArmadillo · 25/04/2007 20:55

outdoor running about space sounds good.

Nikki76 · 25/04/2007 22:40

and woe besides any dog owner that lets their dog crap in the vicinity if we are having a picnic!

Am v anti dog crap - cant you tell!!! lol

bobalinga · 27/04/2007 20:49

Wouldn't mind the tiny park in Fishponds. I haven't got a car and DD's wheelchair is heavy and there's no good buses.
And even better.....there's a Greggs not 20 yards away with yummy buns
When?
{nikki, will text you. C had a seizure Tuesday night and we've been in hozzie all week)

Nikki76 · 27/04/2007 21:28

Bobalinga - really sorry to hear about C. Anything I can do, let me know. Will text you when I'm off here anyway

Good job you mentioned the buns in Greggs and not the sausage rolls - that would have kicked off a whole other thread!!
