thats ok little miss. i did think of aldenham or cassiobury. the only places i really know. use to go to aldenham when i was younger and i presume it hasnt changed much since. has a lot of farm animals, and a long nature walk and a big lake. they have climbing frames and things like that as well.

Ohhhhhhhh Ruislip Lido, I haven't been there since I was a little girl, would love to go again, and take L on the train they have there.

I'm away from the the 7th Aug (my b.day) intil the 13th, then 14th is my parachute jump.

I theroy if I'm packed and organised I could do the 6th but not promiosing I'll be organised for my holiday.

I could do the 20th or the 27th August and personally would love to do the Lido.

tammybear · 26/07/2004 12:28

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 28/07/2004 19:41

yes,yes yes for the evening one !!!

haven't posted re day one as am mostly tied up during rest of hols, but depending what day you choose may be able to shuffle stuff around.

anorak · 28/07/2004 19:55

Yes to both providing I am not otherwise engaged

Thomcat · 29/07/2004 10:35

I'm not letting any of you go to Ruislip lido now btw! My mum and step-father took L there yesterday and were home again 10 minutes later. Full of Dog and geese poo with a sign saying 'there is broken glass in sand we are doing our best to sort this out'! Nice - NOT!

Kayleigh · 29/07/2004 10:58

yeuuugh Thomcat. Thanks for warning.

tammybear · 05/08/2004 11:20

bumping this up, as its looking doubtful that i can go on 11th

the best week for me to come out is between Monday 16th-Wednesday 25th (although I cant do 19th as its my ALevel results and driving test)

Lido's out of the question, so what do others think of the other places suggested. Cassiobury would be easy for me to get to.

We're free most days for the rest of Aug except for all Wednesdays, Aug 13, 24 & 27. So if anyone can select a final date that ISN'T one of these ds & I can come!

karen99 · 08/08/2004 15:51

Cassiobury Park sounds fine.. do you know what is there tammybear? I've forgotten what it said on netmums!

tammybear · 08/08/2004 16:22

Cassiobury park has a big canal and sort of wooded area you can walk around. Big areas of grass, and they have a couple of playgrounds with swings and slides for the children next to some kiosks that sell food by a picnic area. theres also a swimming pool type thing. to me its more of a big fountain that kids can play in really lol. they also have a train that runs around the park that i took dd on when she was about 4months. and sometimes in the summer they have a big bouncy castle there.
