Are there any friendly mums here from Swindon ? !!
I moved here 12 years ago when my older lads were young, made loads of friends through the playgroups and school gate crowds, but like me their kids are all grown up now, unlike them though I have decided to start again and now have a three year old dd and a one year old son. But in the intervening years something odd has happened to the mums round here !!
Tried going to the toddler group in Toothill church, but got ignored, even when I would smile at someone and try to strike up a converstaion they would turn their back on me ! Apparently if you live in Toothill you are persona non grata at that group !!( Several other local mums also had the same thing happen to them
There is another toddler group in Oliver Tomkins school apparently but can not find any details of it
All the mums I know now, work full time. I cannot go back to work due to my dd's health issues , and I am fed up being home alone
Would really like to find some other mums with more than one child ( who will understand how hard it is to get out of the house with a toddler, baby, double buggy, changing bag, potty, drinks, snacks, kitchen sink whilst suffering from SPD!!!) and will not judge or criticise if I am not as perfect as the books say I should be !! Or easy going , laid back, non perfect first time mums !!
I have four kids of my own, five stepkids and a partner who works too many hours !! My four live with us, they are 16, 15, 3 and 1 . My three year old dd is disabled( heart defects, asthma and mobility probs) but she is a bright, sunny natured little girl, who loves meeting with other kids to play !! My 1 year old is a little monster, nothing like the angelic image he portrays at all, and is always up to mischief !!
Live in Toothill, do not drive, but can get to town if anyone would like to meet for coffee , or walk to Lydiard if anyone fancies a coffee and a walk round there !!
