Any Sussex Mums?

Hi all, are there any Sussex mums that would like to meet up?

OP posts:
noddy5 · 12/07/2004 18:04

where are you?

Lonelymum · 12/07/2004 23:04

Champs started this for me but I am a little nervous about carrying it on. I don't find meeting new people easy and it seems to me a lot of mumsnetters are already in strong friendship groups which would be very hard for me to join in with.
I am near Horsham, sort of. (Being really coy here!)
Is there already a group active in Sussex? Or are there any people not already in a group who would like to meet new people?

zubb · 12/07/2004 23:11

Lonelymum, there are meet ups in Brighton that I've seen threads for, but I'm sure there will be people round Horsham way as well.
Just keep this thread active and I'm sure you'll get some replies from Sussex, and well done for starting the ball rolling.

MABS · 13/07/2004 00:18

there's a meet up in Brighton fairly soon i'm sure- look in meet -up topic. I'm not too far from Horsham, Brighton and Worthing either. The Brighton meet ups are really friendly and there are always new people every time, it's certainly not at all cliquey. Come !!!

noddy5 · 13/07/2004 14:57

hiya jenah,
i live in goring and usually attend the brighton met up. mums come from brighton and surrounding areas, hastings and sometimes london. we usually do kid free meet ups as we do like the odd bottle of plonk.

i will revive the brighton meet up thread. no fix time or date has been arranged but i hope its soon.

by the way. i have three kids 14 & twins 11

JENAH · 21/07/2004 22:41

thanks castardo,sounds like fun

funnytype · 29/07/2004 13:15

Hi Mums,

I am in Copthorne near Crawley in West Sussex.

Love to meet up with other mums nearby as feel very isolated here! Or just a chat would be nice!

I have a 5 month old daughter Isabella.

My MSN messenger is [email protected] if you would like to contact me.

Hi there - do look at the "Redhill - or nearish" thread as well - we're meeting up just north of Crawley, in Horley on 18th August - evryone welcome!!

wallysquasage · 16/08/2004 14:38

I am in brighton and would definately arrange a meet up if anyone interested. would be happy to sort out a large meet or for those who prefer smaller groups (which i understand only too well being quite shy myself!!), i could arrange smaller meets eg two for coffee as someone else suggested. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what everyone would like to do then sort something out. look forward to meeting y'all soon! xx

Tortington · 17/08/2004 11:00

wally, there are a few who live in and around brighton ( see brighton thread) who may be interested in a sussex meet. it might be worth starting a new thread? anyway, if its not too far to travel and wine is involved am sure i will come along. thanks for oranising something wally.

noddy5 · 17/08/2004 16:09

I'd be up for Brighton
