Hi all you mum's, I have recently moved to Nottingham and I would love to meet some local mums for coffee/chat and if any of you feel up for it swimming with the little ones. My daughter is 3 months old and I want to take her swimming for the first time but am a bit nervous. Would love to here from other mums in the area.

I don't know whether i fit in as an older mum fell that way as just turned 30. Anyway I take my little one to Rushcliffe in west bridgford. Where abouts are you?

pinkmagic1 · 08/03/2007 14:43

Not an older mum, a baby really at 27 but I'm in Notingham. Where do you live?

S0A0M · 08/03/2007 14:52

I live in netherfield near carlton but get about all over notts. How about you?

pinkmagic1 · 08/03/2007 14:57

I live in Carlton, maybe I already know you. How many kids have you got. Iv'e got 2, a little boy whos nearly 3 and a DD whos 4 months.

Great to hear from you both, I am in Beeston we moved here just over 3 weeks ago and haven't been out and about too much but I worked in Nottingham before taking maternity leave so know it reasonably well, I did used to live in Netherfield for a short period of time a few years ago.

I am 30 but looking at other threads I was horrified to find that that probrably puts me in the older mum category (I don't feel like an older mum).

I just have the one whos 21 months. Do you go to the netherfield toddler group on tues, wed or thursdays?

I've only been in beeston a few times and that was only to the library. We could always meet in there for a coffee, but i'm sure that there must be more exciting coffee places there or even further a field if your willing to travel a bit?

pinkmagic1 · 09/03/2007 10:48

I would definitely not class you as an older mum, newmum11. I thought older mums where classed as those over 35.
I don't go to the toddler group in Netherfield but have been to the surestart babies group a couple of times there.
It would be nice to meet up with the pair of you and anyone else who cares to join us for that matter. Maybe city centre is best as we live on opposite sides of town.

newmum11 · 09/03/2007 11:42

That would be great, how about Wed 21st, perhaps we could meet somewhere for coffee or a bit of lunch, do you know anywhere nice that is baby friendly? Is there a cafe in John Lewis? Perhaps in there?

Wednesdays are good for me, not sure if theres a cafe in John Lewis,I will try to find out. Somewhere with a play area would be great as I will have DS. If you could make it to Arnold, Tumble town has a little cafe.

ok so i get to visit the older mums category, at he ripe old age of 35.....have a 14 mth old and am currently 7 days overdue with my second. I am in Westbridgford, have been here since September. Not sure i would make a meet up on the 21st but will keep my eye out for other meets that come up!

I'm 23 so probably far too young!

I'm over in Radcliffe with a 5mth dd.

pinkmagic1 · 20/03/2007 15:10

Can we make it next wednesday? Someone decide on a location and we can make a definite date for a meet up.

sunnydayz · 20/03/2007 19:54
