kayleigh - i'd like to bring crying thing with me. Do you think they (restaurant) would have any objections, and could I fit my buggy there?

Kayleigh · 28/06/2004 19:24

Am sure they won't object. And am sure we could squeeze buggy in somewhere. But will need to get it down steps. Make sure you wait outside for one of us (unpregnant ones) to give you a hand.

Hmmm (thinking...) maybe if there are more babies/buggies coming might be better to change venue - maybe Pizza Express on London Wall as it is a bit roomier in there although menu a bit limited.

What do you think laydeez??

Marina · 29/06/2004 16:54

Is it OK for a City lurker to suddenly barge in? I'd like to wish Dino well (OK, and eat profiteroles...) and meet everyone.

codswallop · 29/06/2004 17:00

I would love to come
rckon pph will be my envoy

Kayleigh · 29/06/2004 17:04

Marina, all lurkers welcome.

Coddy, not sure if restaurant is posh enough for pph. It isn't silver service.

Think I can make it Twinkie - have you seen Ilona is local to us too! Thanks Kayleigh.

Twinkie · 29/06/2004 18:02

Yes I saw that earlier - do you two fancy a coffee morning Tuesday or Wednesday of next week?? (and anyone else in Sicup/New Eltham??)

Marina · 29/06/2004 18:09

It'll have to be just the two of you midweek, I'm on 40 hours' weekly detention these days

handbagaddiction · 30/06/2004 20:38

Ooo - can I come too? Been lurking for a while and posting occasionally...but based in the City...would love to come along if I'm allowed??

Kayleigh · 01/07/2004 02:14

handbagaddiction, of course you're allowed. By the sounds of your nickname we should get on like a house on fire

princesspeahead · 01/07/2004 22:18

oi, kayleigh, I'm listening! And am willing to wager that I have eaten at Pizza Express on London Wall at least 20 times more often than you have!

not posh enough, indeed..... wanders off shaking head

bunnyrabbit · 03/07/2004 13:00

beachyhead · 03/07/2004 18:28

I'd love to come again. Are you doing Pizza Pom or Pizza Express and if on London Wall, the one near Bishopsgate or the one up high near the London Museum. Us city girls - so much choice.....

handbagaddiction · 04/07/2004 00:51

I know most of you have already met each other before but it's going to be really strange for me...finally seeing everyone I have pictured mentally for ages.....! I mean...when I turn up - how will I know who to look out for???

sponge · 04/07/2004 01:34

Don't worry HBA. The last City meet-up a couple of weeks ago was my first one and they were quite easy to spot. Quite a lot of women and babies round a table in the middle of the City isn't that common a sight .

TurnAgainCat · 04/07/2004 15:00

Oh, can't come again, am already trying to get meeting moved to afternoon so can go to ds's ballet watching morning on 7 July. But, I went to the cinema last night and saw a trailer for The Stepford Wives, with Nicole Kidman and Bette Midler and it looks very funny. Not sure when it is released, but shall we have a City meet up after work one day to see it, since we are all hopelessly non-Stepford? Are there even any cinemas in the city?

binkie · 04/07/2004 15:06

cinemas: yes the Barbican - oddly quite quiet and civilised - not sure if it would stay that way if coven of MNers appeared

princesspeahead · 04/07/2004 15:14

br would be lovely to meet you but I am ex-City, not current City! And in fact when you meet I will be having my hair cut in deepest Wiltshire. God help me...
enjoy, all!

bunnyrabbit · 04/07/2004 18:38

Never mind PPH. Well done for escaping!!

Cinema sounds excellent to me and I quiet like being referred to as part of a covent....
