jampot · 27/06/2004 01:33

Are there any more takers for the Solihull & Surrounding Mummies meet up on 28th June?

And does everyone want to go to the town centre bar/restaurant or to a pub/restaurant close to the motorway junctions?

Jampot - Got your message no worries.

As to the meet up, I'm still game, and I dont mind where we meet.

Yeh maybe next time a wed or a fri, cant do thursdays and neither can MButterfly

LunarSea · 27/06/2004 13:00

Motorway junctions are easier for me if I'm going to find the place on my own (I don't really know the centre of Solihull), but I'm happy go along with what everyone else wants to do (thanks jampot).

shopaholic · 27/06/2004 16:20

I'm really sorry I can't make this meet. Perhaps we can arrange another one soon as I would love to meet some of those who chat to me on Mumsnet.

MadameButterfly · 27/06/2004 18:11

I am willing to go wherever erveryone else wants, as long as Ronniebaby can get me there.

As for the next meet, fridays are probably better for me.

Sorry to hear yuo can't make it Shopaholic. Hope to see you at the next one.

See everyone else on Monday.

Ronniebaby · 27/06/2004 19:22

Oh MB, MB, you know I'll take you with me, you dont need to ask, silly moo.

Yeh ladies see you all Monday, looking forward to it now, yeh har

MadameButterfly · 29/06/2004 23:25

What's the plan then ladies?

Where are we going & what time?

MadameButterfly · 30/06/2004 01:47

BUMP.

I have arrange to stay at my inlaws on monday night so I can get to this meet. It would be nice to know where we are going and when we are meeting.

Ronniebaby · 30/06/2004 02:06

So Ladies we need to make a decision and quickly.

I dont know Solihull that well, so Jampot where are the best places, easy for all concerned

jampot · 30/06/2004 02:56

Right, well inside Touchwood (car parking available underneath) we have Casa bar, Tigis (pasta & pizza - quite expensive imo), TGI's, Nandos (chicken), Pizza Hut (!), Yellow River (chinese), The Tapas Bar (not heard good stories though),just outside on the high street we have Cafe Rouge (mmmm) or Fat Cats (went years ago when it was Bobby Browns). If it were left to me I would suggest Cafe Rouge or Yellow River.

How is everyone for a 7.30-8pm meet?

OP posts:
jampot · 30/06/2004 12:26

Or in Knowle (junction 5 I think - A41) there's a few Indian restaurants and a chinese or just down the hill a little out of Knowle is The Herons Nest which is a pub/restaurants - v good food.

OP posts:
LunarSea · 30/06/2004 13:09

I know the Heron's Nest, can probably find anywhere in Knowle, can't comment on any of the in-town places. I'd probably vote for the Heron's Nest, but that's only by default as it's the only one I really know.

Ronniebaby · 01/07/2004 00:06

Cheers Jampot - I know Nando's Pizza obviously, been to Casa & Tigi's, dont know Herons Nest.

MB will go whereever I take her, lets do the Herons Nest, its just of motorway in Knowle and you dont have to pay parking.

7.30 - 8 is fine for me, more the 8 than the 7.30, but I'll go with the flow, MB will need sort out either getting to mine or me picking up, as we discussed I let you know.

Looking forward to it

jampot · 01/07/2004 02:52

Okay Herons Nest for 8pm - any more takers, Lemonice or Jollymum?

OP posts:
LunarSea · 01/07/2004 12:22

Lemonice - you're Leamington area aren't you? I could probably pick you up if you want to come along and dont want to drive.

Ronniebaby · 03/07/2004 02:10

Ladies - Just remind me where the Herons Nest is, is it thru Knowle on the way out

jampot · 03/07/2004 11:28

Ronnie - you go through Knowle and down the hill, past the garden centre on your left and round the really sharp left hand bend, keep following the road and you will soon come to the Miniman garage on your left you will then need to indicate right - the Herons Nest is on your right hand side before the bridge. See you there.

OP posts:
LunarSea · 03/07/2004 13:36

Do you guys all know each other by sight? It's just struck me that I don't actually know any of you so if one of you spots a strange (well not THAT strange) woman looking lost please come and say hello! I'm going to feel very silly if I pick the wrong bunch of strangers and ask if one of them is jampot

jampot · 03/07/2004 13:52

Hopefully you and I will be on our own to start with and Ronnie's photo is on the moderators board and she will be with MadameButterfly. I'll happily wait for you in the car park if you like!

OP posts:
LunarSea · 03/07/2004 13:59

Ok then - as I know what your car is I'll just hang around outside and keep an eye out for you. Is it just going to be the 4 of us?

jampot · 03/07/2004 14:02

yes think so unless lemonice & jollymum join us but being as though they haven't appeared on the thread I doubt it. Shopaholic is having an early night lucky devil

Ronniebaby · 03/07/2004 14:37
