Bolton meetup!?!

Any one fancy meeting Ceebee and i on Tuesday 13th Feb in Bolton? I have been reliably informed that there is a Harvester pub that welcomes children near the Reebock stadium.

Reid, have I got it right?
Horwich Parkway?

I can depart from Macclesfield at(say)10:57am & arrive at Horwich at 12noon. I can get a cheap day return for £14.70. Not bad is it? Thats for DS & me, DD is free.

What is the name of the place where you are going for lunch? How far is it from the station? Will I have to get a bus?

Give me details & I will look it all up.

not sure what the restaurant is called but it is a harvester pub - will look tonight and let you know.

As far as I can see, I think the train station is within walking distance - looking on the bolton wanderers website, they describe the train station to footy fans as within walking distance of the Reebok stadium so what do footy fans class as 'walking distance'??

It would be lovely to meet you (don't think we have chatted before)

Hi Musiclover - I guess my name does give my age away!!

That is the right pub - although the only reason I suggested it was because I read in a magazine that it has signed up to a 'baby' charter so it is children & baby friendly - however, I don't think it has play facilities - will that be a problem keeping your 2 entertained? I know mine and Reidy's little ones will be fine as they can't play yet anyway.

I don't know any other 'kiddy' places in Bolton as I only ever really go to the Reebok stadium (shopping) and the town centre.

I have met Lulu at a previous meet-up - she is as lovely in RL as she is on MN)and her 2 children are adorable! I really hope she can come (she is as

OMG this is getting me now. every time i try & save the map it comes up as something different in my favourites.

Well as faras I can see, the pub is right near the station. I can see the football ground & what looks like the train station to me. So I'm happy with that.
So guys, looks like we will be joining you too. Yippee

CeeBee, dont worry about play area, my 2 will be happy enough having lunch there bla bla. Just hope my 9yo DS is on his best behaviour. He can be a lttle arsey at times!

If all goes well with your meet up, there is another good place not far from there.
The Beehive is just down the road, away from the motorway. If you look on a map it is on the roundabout.
It has a Wacky Warehouse and buy one get one free on meals so you can club together.
I would love to join you on the 13th, but I am at a seminar at the reebok.
P.S I am a Bolton Childminder with a vacancy, if you know anyone who is looking, please spread the word.

If I lived a little nearer bolton, i would certainly consider using you as a childminder but unfortunately I don't .

Sorry not been on either, had a busy day yesterday, then working last night. Working at 3pm-10pm today & tomorrow too.

Well I'm easy, I'm not too fussed which pub we go too. Obviously it would be nice for my LO's to have somewhere to play, but it isnt a problem if we stick to the original plan.

It's seeming unlikely that Lulu can make it, as her Dh is off & they will want to have some quality time together & make the most of it as I think he is working away alot.

I've also asked SpookyMadMummy if she would like to come too, but I'm unsure of where abouts she lives.
Just waiting for a reply from her. I've been unable to catch her online.

So fingers crossed she will be able to.
