Am a first time mum to a 3.5 mth old boy and wondered whether there were any mothers in the area with babies of a similar age who would like to meet up every now and then for a coffee and some fresh air.

Hi Blyton - I'm in Sydenham, and have got a 5 mth old girl and would definitely be up for that

webchick · 27/01/2007 17:35

Hi. I'm a bit further away - in Catford - buth have a 7 1/2 month little girl and would love to meet new people and make friends for lo!

missusmiles · 29/01/2007 12:58

Well Crystal Palace pk is okay for fresh air and a bit of a walk, plus theres the one o clock club on the edge of the park which is good for the lo's; gives them a bit of space to roll about in! Not sure if thats too far for you Hannah?

hannah1984uk · 30/01/2007 23:18

Hi,

Well I think I can get a bus to Crystal Palace but it is a bit far. Sydenham would be a lot easy I think but then that might be too far for others.

Hi, sorry not been on for a while.. I'm happy to meet up in Sydenham, though there aren't that many great places!! There is the newly reopened Dolphin on Sydenham Road, which is now no smoking, so okay for babies! Or I can travel further if you've any other suggestions? N

Hello All!

A few of the mums are planning a meet on Friday 16th Feb in Bromley at the Glades on Friday if any of you fancy it (I don't think it's that far from you).
We are meeting at Druckers cafe in the Glades, which is on the ground floor of the shopping centre next to Boots at 11am.
Maybe see some of you there???

Hi All,

Would you like to meet up at Honor oak pub? It is smoke free, child friendly. They do coffee and have books for the little one. The pub is on Brockley Rise. I live in Honor Oak Park. I have a 20 month old dd. She would like to make some new friends. My email address is [email protected].

Maybe i could arrange a meet up in the Honor Oak/Forest Hill area.

hannah1984uk · 18/02/2007 23:42

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all well. There seem to be lots of different suggstions for meeting up. Tootiepegs - I think I missed your meet up. Did you all have a good time? Goddess7 - the Honour Oak pub sounds good for a meet up - I sent you an email before but don't know if you received it. Missusmiles - what do you think about meeting at this Honour Oak pub. I haven't been there before. Or we could meet up in Bromley? I hope to hear from so we can sort something out! If you want you can email me at [email protected] as I am terrible at remembering to check here but I will try!

Hi - I live in Crystal Palace. Dd is only 2 weeks old so I'm not really settled yet, but if people do meet up in the future weeks/months would love to know. Also, can anyone recommend any mother baby groups around the area? I'm really near the Phoenix Centre.

hannah1984uk · 22/02/2007 21:38

Hi Foxhill,
Congratulations on your little one! I hope you're both well. Let me know when you're ready to get out and about and it would be lovely to meet up. Sorry I'm not in Crystal Palace so don't know about baby groups there.

Hello everyone,

I am new to the site and keen to meet up with more local mums. I have a 13 month old DS and live in Honor Oak Park.

For purely selfish reasons the Honor Oak would be a great venue but are happy to meet up in Bromley if that is better.

Hope we get something arranged soon as it would be great for the little monster to get new playmates!

hannah1984uk · 09/03/2007 10:27

Hi Babybear10,
This thread seems to have dried up but would be great to meet up. My daughter is 9 months now. I live in Catford so not far from you. I'm sure we could arrange something! My email is [email protected]

I live near Crystal Palace and would also love to meet other mums and babies. My daughter, Joline, is only 2 months but is showing a lot of interest in other children I hope to hear from someone.

chrisy · 22/08/2007 19:59

hi mobo

I would love to meet up. Are you free next week for a coffee? I normally go to cafe nero in Crystal Palace where they have a baby change facility.

Christel

mobo · 23/08/2007 18:20

Hi Christel
yes, i'm free next week. what about wednesday or thursday afternoon? cafe nero is good for me, as i live pretty close to the triangle.

chrisy · 24/08/2007 11:54

Hi Mobo
I'm free on Thursday. Shall we say 3 o'clock?

Christel

mobo · 24/08/2007 12:34

that sounds good to me. i'll see you there. how will i recognise you?

Nic

chrisy · 29/08/2007 18:26

hello nic

we just moved to our new house and I wasn't able to access the internet until today.
So we are meeting tomorrow, right?
I don't think there will be many mums alone with their babies at the coffee shop so I think you'll easily recognise us.

See you tomorrow!
Christel

mobo · 29/08/2007 20:22

you're right, it shouldn't be too hard to spot each other. i just felt a bit like we were going on a blind date and should carry a rose or something
see you tomorrow
Nic
