hi im shell, moving from london to caversham in reading in about 4 weeks, i have 3 kiddies, aged 7, 4 and 2.5.
i wont know a soul when we move there so realy realy want to make some new friends.
we love swimming, walks in the park, shopping, toddler groups, anyone wanna be our friends?
as well as friends for myself love some playmates for my kids.

ps- and one know of good toddler groups, music/dance classes for my youngst and lastly do you have a local brownies group?

Hi Shell, I've just started a thread as I am looking for MNers in Wokingham ... but I saw your thread and thought I'd drop in and say 'Hi' as it looks like the Reading mums have gone a bit quiet.

Hope you manage to make contact with some people locally. I don't drive so coming over to Caversham could be tricky ... but if you were able to travel ... I'd be very happy to meet up.

I have a 7yr old, 4 yr old, 2yr old and 2 week old!

hi peanut, no i dont drive, shame as your older 3 are same age as mine.
anyone know of any other good site to meet mums, tried netmums but not much luck.

Hi f1nut ... yes it's a pity (I really should get back in the car but since accident totally lost confidence in being on the road).

Hope you have some luck with meeting people ... I've tried netmums too but no luck there. There is a website called meetmums.co.uk ... you could give that a try?
