Anyone fancy a meetup next week at the Peggy Jay Centre near Parliament Hill in Hampstead Heath? Interested parties include pollyanna and suzywong.

Where is Peggy Jay Centre?

maomao · 22/05/2004 14:41

Hi Chicpea,

It's near the Gospel Oak rail station. Do you know where the paddling pool is, near the Lido?

Hi there, I've resurfaced after a weekend of cricket, sponsored walk and double stone setting!!! Have just posted on Hampstead thread. Suggest we 3 meet this Thurs plus Olineid (sp?) at either Downshire Hill or One O'Clock Club. May be better to take to the phones on this one now! (will bring Grobag).

maomao · 24/05/2004 19:18

Sounds good.

Meeting up on Friday at 11 a.m. with suzywong and pollyanna at the Peggy Jay Centre in Hampstead Heath near Parliament Hill, if anyone else would like to join us!

I can't do this Friday as something I had arranged for tomorrow has been postponed to Friday at 1pm (annoyingly) but will try another time, maybe next week??

hoxtonchick · 24/05/2004 22:20

Can I come too (suzywong told me to!)? I have 1 ds who is 2-and-a-bit.

suzywong · 24/05/2004 22:24

I didn't tell her, she just pesters me for introductions to other people

hoxtonchick · 24/05/2004 22:25

maomao · 24/05/2004 22:25

OP posts:
Davros · 24/05/2004 22:27

hoxtonchick · 24/05/2004 22:28

maomao · 25/05/2004 14:23

Awww, I thought you'd simply cook for me, hoxtonchick! Thanks for the offer of bringing the books --- don't want to make you tote them though.

Just wanted to say that we had a wonderful time today; it was great to meet all of you! And I'm very impressed by the tupperware, packed lunches, and especially the brownies - YUM! I don't know how you manage to carry on conversations and still be able to watch your little ones at the same time - I am in complete awe of your skills!

Thanks for such a lovely morning.

Why did the 1 o'clock club meet at 11? Is it a trendy London thing?

marthamoo · 28/05/2004 14:47

I know what it is! It's a clique

maomao · 28/05/2004 14:50

Yes, it's a clique --- so why weren't you there? (Why are one o'clock clubs called that anyway? Can you answer me that? It gets me so confused.)

I have my own Well 'Ard Northerners clique - we meet in parks in the rain and eat Eccles cakes. None of this prancing around on Hampstead Heath eating Nigel Slater food malarkey

maomao · 28/05/2004 16:59

I'm sure that Garth must be an attendee at YOUR meetups

It was a lovely day today and we had some nice weather for a change! I've often wondered why they are called 1 o'clock clubs too!
