Yorkiegirl, I'm in Bramhope ... yes I did mean at a different venue! There's another MNetter called Tetley who lives in Adel - she's away on holiday at the moment but I'm pretty sure she'd be up for a meet-up when she's back the week after next ...

I'm back! Got back yesterday afternoon. No-where too exotic - the Vendee in France, but was lovely & warm!

Yes, I'm on for a meet-up, but am quite busy for the next few weekends - suddenly seem to have a social life! After June though it all dies away again! So arrange for whenever is best for the rest of you, & I'll come if I can. We can always arrange another one in a few weeks for when I can make it.

As for suggestions, well there's always Harewood - depends on if many of us are cardholders, as it's expensive otherwise.

Cheaper options are the bird garden at Lotherton Hall - that's nice, plus lots of space for a picnic; the farm at Temple Newsam - where a few of us have met previously; the Sculpture Park at Bretton Hall (south of Leeds)....plus lots more if I put my mind to it!

Whereabouts are you, Yorkiegirl? Lisa78 - are you Castleford direction?

Yes - lovely holiday thank you. A couple of wet days but the rest of the time was lovely. Lots of digging holes in the sand, & catching crabs in rock-pools!! Oh, and a little bit of French wine too

sculpture park or cannon hall both ok for me - within easy reach as i am so close to M62

but it all depends when this baby decides to put in an appearance whether i make it or not!

Popsycal - it's the West Yorkshire sculpture park & it's at Bretton Hall, which is just off J38 (I think??) of the M1 - so not really near any of North Yorks! It's a lovely place though - brilliant for letting kids run all over the place, whilst a nice wander for adults, and a nice cafe too!

Lots of Henry Moore statues too, if you like them.

Secur - how are you? I bet you were a bit warm today . At least it seems to be getting cooler now.

My mind seems to have melted today in this heat so I can't think of dates currently, so please can someone else suggest some & I'll join in later!
