Hello new friends! Let's start the meet up chat now...

Weekends best for me, how about you guys?

Sorry for the delay.

Hoggle, how presumptuous! Already planning the next meet?! We might clash horrendously Wink

Not 100% sure if I'm free on the 5th. Pretty sure the 12th works. Will get back to you all on that.

Which one of you is near Huntington?...just out of pure nosiness Grin

CheeseandGherkins · 12/08/2015 12:49

I can't make the 5th either. I can't do end of Oct as it's half term and two of mine have birthdays within a few days of each other so it'll be a busy one.

I'm quite near Huntingdon, we go there quite often to shop etc.

icantseenoships · 12/08/2015 13:26

At the moment (could change, obviously) I can do any Saturday in October barring the 31st.

Woofsaidthedog · 13/08/2015 13:46

12th Sept works better for me than the 5th, annoyingly - have plans for that entire weekend!

HoggleHoggle · 13/08/2015 20:02

Sorry to disappear!

Ok it sounds as though more of us are around 12th sept so shall we stick with that for the first meet?

Assuming we don't all run a mile Grin I can do any weekend apart from 17th in oct.

Is this meet open to the socially inept? I can just sit quietly in the corner and eat cake if that helps.

HoggleHoggle · 16/08/2015 07:08

It's definitely open to the socially inept! Please join us

OP posts:
Wolpertinger · 16/08/2015 19:52

Hello everyone! Can I join in?

I'm 40, DH but no kids, like reading although don't do any as am always on Mumsnet, knitting, sewing, history and eating cake.

I can't do 12 September as I'm relieving my childhood at Efteling that date Grin

But would love to meet some real live mumsnetters another time.

Wolpertinger · 16/08/2015 19:52

Oh and forgot, I'm near St Neots.

Woofsaidthedog · 18/08/2015 10:06

Sorry I am absobloodylutely useless at logging into MN and keeping up with "Threads Im On" ! I tend to be a proper lurker, all day lurking whilst pretending I am busily working at my computer.

Hello Wolpertinger! Definitely join us for another meet presumptuous cake-lover here when we eventually organise ourselves to have another one! Until then, I am looking forward to the 12th!

HoggleHoggle · 19/08/2015 12:49

Welcome wolpertinger!

Looking forward to the 12th

Hello everyone, are we on for this Saturday still?

OP posts:
LittleWoofDoesntDog · 09/09/2015 12:07

Hello Hoggle! Its me, Woof in case the name wasn't completely obvious! I had to name change, hackers went mad for me. Bastards.

I was just logging in to reply (as you know, I am a full time lurker) to say I can't make Saturday now! My 'D'H has been asked to work a full day instead of the usual morning so I will have my beastly DD with me, who quite frankly runs around like a bull in a china shop and can't be trusted in cafes.

I am GUTTED. Please can you report back on how the meet up goes and can we please please please organise another one now?!

HoggleHoggle · 09/09/2015 20:23

Hello woof! Such a shame you can't come but totally understand, I wouldn't let ds within 20 feet of a cafe at the moment.

I've sent some messages redirecting people to the thread in case it's dropped off, so will see if this week goes ahead but in any case very happy to get another date in the diary! Sept and Oct really busy now but how about Nov?

OP posts:
Achangeisadgoodasarest · 10/09/2015 09:53

I can't do this Saturday either, unless I bring my 7 year old. He can be trusted in cafes (there's hope for you all in the future!) but still not my ideal situation.

I am happy to rearrange for October / November.

HoggleHoggle · 10/09/2015 12:08

Let's just rearrange, would be lovely to get a group together.

How about the first weekend of Nov? 7th or 8th.

OP posts:
LittleWoofDoesntDog · 14/09/2015 13:38

First week of November is gloriously empty for me, either day, happy for consensus voting. Maybe be a good Saturday afternoon thing to do?
Now desperate for cake and coffee and meet ups!

My Saturday was excessively dull in the end; my DH did indeed work all day long, and me and DD went to the park (when I should have been Mumsnet meeting at a delightful cafe) where she proceeded to eat some grass - WHY?! - and vomit in front of the hordes of horrified parents. So that was fun.

LittleWoofDoesntDog · 23/09/2015 14:12

I miss you Cambs Meet Up Crew!

Achangeisadgoodasarest · 29/09/2015 17:30

Hey woof, can I come to the park with you next time? Your DD sounds like great entertainment!

So about the meet up....

LittleWoofDoesntDog · 07/10/2015 08:38

I keep doing this thing where I don't log on for ages and then wake up at about 1am thinking "I have to check on the meet up page!!" - hence, I am here!
Yes lets meet up Cambs crew!!

Someone said first week of November, so shall we go for that?! Saturday 7th or Sunday the 8th, either is good for me but a Saturday afternoon might be a nice cafe and cake situation Cake Brew
