Anyone interested? Any ideas? Considering Wells, Glasto, Taunton? With children or without? When?

Hi.
Not sure where i can get to or if i can afford it but it would be good to meet up.
I'm in Castle Cary.I have posted on Somerset thread before. Train station is close by.

Wells would be nice...how about a mini Christmas meet up ???? One without children would be nice....I'm away at the beginning of December, 9th - 19th so need to be before then probably.....

fennel · 13/11/2006 10:01

or you could all pop down to join us Exeter mumsnetters night out in 2 weeks time. It's not that far to come

Steppy1 · 13/11/2006 12:44

Thanks fennel, I had been thinking about the Exeter meet up....but it would be nice if we had one more local....so I might join in Bath (if they end up doing one !!) or organise one myself in Wells !!

joelallie · 14/11/2006 10:53

Hello.

Sorry - been ill so not posting (or doing anything much ). I can't face the drive to Exeter atm - Wells would be good and agree without kids as that tends to limit the options.

Can I come too? I'd be interested in meeting up in Wells. I'd be a bit limited in time away from dcs, but would much prefer not to bring them. Hoping this takes place!

joelallie · 15/11/2006 10:51

OK. OK...am racking my snotty brains to think of somewhere for a meet-up in Wells. Don't go very often these days. Bishops Palace gardens are lovely and have a nice cafe but best with kids rather than without perhaps. There are loads of pubs/hotels but don't know any specifically. Anyone out there know Wells well . I'll have a good think ....

The Crown is supposed to be very nice. It's the pub in the square.

joelallie · 15/11/2006 13:59

Evening, weekend? I am at work so can't manage otherwise.

Whereabouts are you LadyM?

Steppy1 · 15/11/2006 18:34

Oh , the link didn't work !!!

LadyMacbeth · 15/11/2006 19:14

Ask in Wells is v nice. Can do that weekend. I'm about 6 miles west of Wells joelallie.

Steppy1 · 16/11/2006 06:47

shall we say the Friday then, 1st december at 8pm....If you're definately up for it then I'll reserve a table for 3 mumsnetters...shall I post a "Wells, Somerset" meet up ?

LadyMacbeth · 16/11/2006 09:43

OK, great! Book the table, thanks. Would be a good idea to get a new post going in case there are any more out there...

Luckymetwins · 16/11/2006 09:55

Hi not sure if it's o.k as not posted to you guys before but I'd love to meet up 2 (without kiddies yea!) If thats o.k?
I only live 20 mins from Wells, there is a great pub on the way out of wells towards Glas/street, not sure of the name but it does buy one main meal get one free (that why we go there )
Happy to go anywhere though, Exter is way too far for me.
