trying2bgood · 22/11/2006 16:15

with regards to Nathan, I can never get passed the fact he played the baddie in the last series of buffy. He was sinister!

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 22/11/2006 16:16

hello to stephy & babooie

Mellow - did you have your interview?

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 22/11/2006 16:22

No, job went to someone else before they saw my CV . That's okay. Money would have been nice but it was in Harrow. Would have been a bit of a trek for me. [lazy emoticon]

trying2bgood · 22/11/2006 16:23

so many threads! I feel dizzy, I only barely manage to do this one!!! sigh

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 22/11/2006 16:23

t2bg,

posted on chinese thread for u.

pudding77 · 22/11/2006 16:25

for you. Though dh used to work in Harrow and the drive from here was horrendous at times with the traffic. I think its a bit of a pain on public transport as well - lots of changes!

pudding77 · 22/11/2006 17:14

What about Alex Kingston as Mrs Coulter? Others I can think of as possibilities are Catherine Zeta Jones or Kate Walsh (from Gray's Anatomy)

snowmum · 22/11/2006 17:48

Hello everyone, mellow pointed me in this direction. Hope you don't mind (yet another) mum joining this thread. I live in Richmond, have 17 month old DD and now a SAHM.

Sorry to hear about your interview mellow.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 22/11/2006 17:58

Hi Bobooie and Snow - welcome

Uwilalalalalala · 22/11/2006 18:30

Oh, snowmum, my DS is just 18 months. We should get together sometime.

I live in Sunbury, but happy to hang out in Richmond.

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 22/11/2006 18:44

Hi snowmum,

Glad to see you here . I'm not that bothered about the interview. Shame about the walk though.

hoxohoxohoxo · 22/11/2006 19:03

hello newbies and welcome

hoxohoxohoxo · 22/11/2006 19:06

hey - uwlalala, didn't we all get a tired and emotional offer for kness up in Bristol with BigKats sis?
I think I may be overwhelmed by hundreds of drunkedn women in one night . How many went to the christmas bash?

Paddlechick666 · 22/11/2006 19:30

erm, sorry to change the subject but would just like to announce:

DD IN BED ASLEEP AT 7:15, ON HER OWN WITH JUST A BACK RUB FROM ME AFTER A NICE BF.

I shall probably pay for this advance smugness but gotta make hay when the sun shines!

also, I'm bloody gobsmacked - that's 2 nights in a row.

;-)

Uwilalalalalala · 22/11/2006 20:11

Think it was Norwich, Oxo. But, haven't heard anything from her. I've talked to Bigkat, but not about the weekend away.

hoxohoxohoxo · 23/11/2006 08:40

well done puds.
sign of things to come? DH and I ahve had 2 nights on our own in teh last 3. The solution was to put ds and dd in one bedroom. works a treat (well, 66% success so far).
am starting a campaign to RECLAIM THE BED

sfxmum · 23/11/2006 08:48

godd going PC and Hoxo on the sleep /reclaiming of bed front
i think i still have a way to go, it's fine the getting to sleep early and staying asleep for the evening bi, it is the wake up in the middle of the night and i want boobie to go to sleep part that i must tackle next

harktheheraldfoxessing · 23/11/2006 09:07

Well done PC and long may it last! I put DD and DS in bed at 7.20pm last night and at 9pm DS was still awake and wanting a poo

Oxo - I'm still trying to get DD out of our bed and into the bunkbed with DS. She happily gets in there initially, then creeps back to our bed after 30 minutes. Any tips?

pudding77 · 23/11/2006 09:15

I'm afraid I'm no help on the sleeping front at all - ds has always been a really good sleeper. I don't mean to brag and when somebody asks me how he sleeps and I tell them, they seem to take great delight in telling me that will all change!

MrsB, I've CAT-ted you about the photography.

2quokkasandaparetree · 23/11/2006 09:19

who knows when Santa's going to be a t Kew gardens?

2quokkasandaparetree · 23/11/2006 09:19

oh hi newbies

Paddlechick666 · 23/11/2006 09:26

well pay for my smugness i did! starting at 10:30pm when she woke herself coughing.

poor thing, raging temp and so whoozy and upset. she came in with me after calpol and spent the rest of the night coughing and thrashing around.

we're both exhausted now! off to dr and to get some medised (thanks Quokka!) later today.

thank god for working from home, may have to have a nap later!

well done you too Hoxo, long may it continue. SFX, tough one and something I'm going to have to tackle at some point soon too. Good luck!

erm think Kew is 15/16th December Quokka.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 23/11/2006 09:34

Puds - both mine a good sleepers too (i.e. they have never been the type that wake through the night), trouble is DD is in the wrong bed!
