NEW TO HAYWARDS HEATH

OK, having lived in London and Hertfordshire for a good majority of my life, we have uprooted and moved to Haywards Heath with our delightful, bubbling-with-energy 20 month old daughter Lydia. Considering I'm a former fashion stylist who was used to adapting to clients' demands and new environments at the drop of a hat (no pun intended), I am somewhat daunted by the prospect of meeting other mums! However the thought of wandering around endless classes in the hope of meeting at least one like minded mum, also daunts me, so if you fancy saving a thirtysomething from this nomadic exsistence and have children of a similar age, please get in touch, before I eat more chocolate!!!

Dawn xx

Hi....I live near Horsham so not that near and have dd aged 3 am rapidly approaching 32!!!..how are you finding h Heath after London?

natmeistergeneral · 31/10/2006 08:38

Hi Dawn Im about 1/2 hour from Haywards Heath- must be a bit on the quiet side after London! I have a two year old dd thats oalways on the go too. I did notice a little while back that there was another lady from HH on here and was thinking about a meet-up- hopefully she'll see this(and others in the vicinty)and we could get something sorted!By the way if its any consolation Im thirtysomething and I love chocolate too!

Thanks for getting in touch. I know Horsham and it's not too bad a journey...

natmeistergeneral-I think the post from Haywards Heath was from Nikki, we have been in touch via another website and hope to meet up soon.

As for adjusting to HH, it is very easy to feel at home with the area, it just hard when you miss your friends, however in the light of our renovations, friends are taking the time to make the journey to see the 'before' and 'after'!!!

As for missing London, since having Lydia I cope well with small doses...

ps. tried a childrens art class in Hurstpierpoint, the teacher was fab, the mums were silent, it felt like a scene out of a film (horror/melodrama)

Hello all, yep it was moi who posted that thread!! Haven't been on here for a while (slaps own hand) but thought i'd pop my head in today
! Will be in touch for definate Dawn bout the meet and obviously, nat, you're more than welcome to join us if you don't mind treking over from Horsham. It will most likely be next week sometime - if you have any days that are better for you, then let me know!!
Best dash for now as Maddie is having a bit of a moan up!! Can't condemn the chocolate eating as I am a habitual offender !! I think I made a mistake years ago by not taking out shares in Cadburys - I would probably be rich by now of my own making.........!!!

Nikki- Just read your post, it would be great to meet up with you and the others...count me in!

Camplazo- I have visited Horsham a couple of times...not too far...

I really do like living in West Sussex, just missing friends, so it still doesn't feel like home, as I am still popping back to herts so that Lydia can have a little friends fix..we joined an art class, it's ok...I guess settling in takes time.

MEET UP IN HAYWARDS HEATH Sorry guys - really short notice, but we have a meet arranged for tomorrow at Costa Coffee, South Road Haywards Heath. I'll be there just after 9am and will try to secure the comfy area to the left of the door. I'll have my baby Maddie with me and she has a denim coloured pushchair, I've got long-ish dark/wine coloured hair and am short and rubenesque (alright.....need to lose a few stone!!!) Hope you can make it - see you there, Nikki.

P.S We will arrange another one, so don't panic if you can't make it - if you are coming and want some more info you can email me at [email protected]
