OK this is where you let me know if you are seriously interested in coming to Diane Torr's famous Drag King Workshop to be held in Central London in September.

I contacted her and she is putting the workshop on by request, so currently no date, venue or cost has been set - I just want an idea of who wants to come (if anyone!)

I'm definitely interested spacey but will have to check out what to do with dd so need to know a very rough date and cost, so will hang back until everyone else has said whether they're coming!

I had not heard of this before, and am quite intrigued. How much would it cost? I feel a bit uncomfortable about it, as I have never imagined being a man since I was in school plays, and also I feel daunted that I would be a very ugly and unattractive effeminate man . I would have to be a hippy man or a medallion man because of my long hair! However, I am quite fascinated about this because most of my colleagues are men. Perhaps I will try and get a friend to join me; she invited me to a function at her work which she had organised and when I walked in, I was taken aback to see the whole room full of older men in dark suits, and amazed that she worked with them. After a few minutes I realized that my workplace probably looks the same, but I don't feel it any more.

tac - don't feel daunted - the rest of us are looking forward to be ugly and unattractive as men!!! See this thread!!!

tac, I'm in the process of establishing what the costs are at the moment - I will be applying for an Arts Council or local authority grant to reduce the cost to participants, so we are in the very early stages of organising this.

Have a look at Diane's website for more info - there are some magazine articles on there too which are interesting.

I will post on here with any news!
