Anyone fancy meeting (with children) one Friday before Christmas? I know Honor is free on Fridays - what about anyone else?

Yep. I'm a bit further south than that, but don't mind driving as long as it isn't somewhere too diffiult to find.

Littlefish · 29/10/2006 19:05

Hi Lunar - it would be lovely to see you again. Let's wait to hear from any others and then decide where to meet.

Just for you and Honor .... before half term our neighbours' two girls came to call for ds on the way to school. One of them was brandishing a tigger toy, and the other had a tiger puppet. So ds dashed off upstairs to fetch his toy tiger, so that he could "play tigers" too. Needless to say none of the children, or my neighbour, could work out why him saying that gave me a fit of the giggles!

Littlefish · 29/10/2006 22:41

Hee Hee. I think I would have collapsed!

Hi - sounds good!

Raggydoll · 31/10/2006 08:03

i'm not far from kingswinford - where are you planning on meeting? i have every other friday off.

LunarSea · 31/10/2006 12:11

Oops - should have read more carefully. Unless it's something teatime-ish (4.30pm or later) we don't have any Fridays before Christmas when we can actually get there, now ds is at school.

We could do something over Christmas though (they don't go back until 9th January), or at a weekend before. Does anyone fancy doing the Santa Specials on the Severn Valley if we're looking at Kidderminster as an option, perhaps followed by a soft play area and/or Christmassy lunch somewhere?

nappyaddict · 17/11/2006 15:46

ooo yay me me me. how about 16th dec or 23rd although that might be a bit close to xmas to fit in?

wychbold · 21/11/2006 22:15

I've only just spotted this thread. Is this still going ahead?

I don't think that my dc (aged 16 and 12) will be very interested in soft play areas.

Littlefish · 23/11/2006 14:44

Hello all - sorry, been very lax and not done anything about this!!!

How does Friday 16th suit anyone? Nappy - I think 23rd is probably a bit too near Christmas, and everywhere will be packed because it's after schools have broken up.

Wychbold - we'd love you to come along, as long as you could bear being in a soft play sort of place. Honor, Sassy and I have young children and will need to be somewhere where they are entertained! If we meet on 16th, presumably your dc will be at school?

Lunarsea - I'm away for most of Christmas so not sure that would be an option - not sure about anyone else though.

Let me know!

How does Friday 16th suit anyone?

Ahem. How about Friday 15th?
I am free in the morning but have carol service / end of term after lunch.

Littlefish · 24/11/2006 14:35

Ooops! Sorry - I didn't bother to check my diary for the date.

I will, however check my diary to make sure that I'm actually free, having suggested the date, and get back to you!

any mums in shropshire fancy meeting up?

wychbold · 06/12/2006 09:21

Bump.

I am out of date on soft play areas - are Wacky Warehouse still considered good? We have:

Black Horse, Halesowen (not far from M5 jcn 3)
Swan, Bromsgrove (not too far from jcn 5)
Mare & Colt, Kidderminster

LITTLEdonkeyFISH · 07/12/2006 19:29

Hi Wychbold. I think the best thing I can do is send an e-mail to those MNers I have details for locally and point them in the direction of this thread.

I am still free on Friday 15th in the morning, and depending on who else is available, we can decide where to meet.

HonorMAGIpoeia · 07/12/2006 22:23

Sorry have only just seen this thread - thanks Littlefish! I'm sorry but the 15th brings with it a mass dress rehearsal for the key stage two christmas play in the morning (It's my day off but I have to go in, thepoor things are trained to stare at me for cues!)The afternoon is also out. You'll have to do this one without me and I'll be there for the next! Merry Christmas all x

PS PMSL over the tigers!!

LITTLEdonkeyFISH · 07/12/2006 23:37

Hi Honor - I've been thinking about you. Have things improved at all? I guess if you're going in on your day off, then they probably haven't! If you speak to Sassy, can you point her over here. I've e-mailed her too.

HowSassilywondrousgiftisgivn · 08/12/2006 08:57

Hi - think we can make this one.

Let me know!

HonorMAGIpoeia · 08/12/2006 21:04

Hi there Littlefish! Things are still dreadful but think I'm now resigned to sticking it out till (hopeful) next maternity leave! Think of me conducting 240 children through carols when you're out. . . perhaps you should have a minutes silence actually!

LITTLEdonkeyFISH · 13/12/2006 18:30

Sorry all, but I think we might have to abandon this until after Christmas. Something has come up that we can't get out of.

Shall we try again for the end of January when things have calmed down a bit.

WeWishUAMerryXmasNANappyNewYr · 15/12/2006 12:47

well im back at uni 29th january so can we make it before then. can make any day except for the 20th/21st jan.
