DH has been offered a job and now he's wondering...

decline
accept and commute something chronic 2h each way thanks to bad train connections
accept and move to Marlow...

anybody on here lives in marlow or surroundings? What's it like? especially with 2 small children

thanks californi I shall cut and paste. dh's potential new ceo mentioned a parenting site for marlow but I'll be buggered if I can find it!

They're a statistical software company in (actually just outside)Marlow, my DH works for them.

Marlow is nice place.

We live in Wycombe.

Lots of new places opening soon.

Still being built!!!

New cinema, bowling, library, massive hopping centre to add to the ones we already have.

Wouldn't take too long to get to Marlow.

Shops in Wycombe are cheaper than Marlow!!

Lovely big park near to town.

What else do you need to know.

fussymummy sounds like you're a well of information ;) What else do I need to know... hmmm... is it better to move somewhere close to Marlow or actually move to Marlow? Any idea about schools, nurseries and work? Saying that dh isn't convinced yet but he's that kind of type who needs a nudge to see a good thing iykwim

I live in Marlow. Tons of children. Fab town. How fab? It has a busy yahoo group of 500 people used to buy, sell, borrow, help, befriend etc.

we're moving to henley in a month's time

renting while we suss ot the area

undecided btween marlow and henley to buy next house

we had a mate who lived in Henley. Lovely place. He's gone back to NZ though

DH's job will be in Marlow so probably want to rent local as he doesn't drive (don't ask, long story )
