I'm in Leamington, and there are a few others around this area - have a look for the midlands meetups threads. When are you planing on moving?

chocolatemummy · 15/10/2006 18:00

hello Lunar sea, well hopefully first week in december, we have sold our house down here and are buying one up there and there is no chain either side so we are hoping for a smooth transaction.
what age are your kids/kid

I've got ds, who is just 5, and expecting #2 March next year.

chocolatemummy · 15/10/2006 18:21

cool, do you like Leamington?
I know coventry has a crappy reputation

Leamington's ok - has some better bits than others, like anywhere of course, but overall it's quite a nice place to live. Warwick's better for restaurants though, but so close really that it doesn't matter.

We're very spoilt really, as well as Leamington and Warwick we have Kenilworth and Stratford on the doorstep, I work in Solihull so get to shop there too on the odd day I escape from the office at lunchtime, and we've got easy access to either Coventry or Birmingham when we want anywhere bigger. Best of all worlds really.

I've done my share of living in some of the less desirable bits of Coventry while I was a student there, but tbh don't go there that often these days, although ds enjoys Coombe Abbey, the aircraft museum, and the road transport museum.

Hi chocolatemummy I live in Coundon and my daughter will hopefully be going to Christ the King nursery school which is in the area. I also hear coundon primary has a nursery which is good.
PS if you are moving back to coundon after a while away I would warn you against Westhill Rd there is a row of shops there which i a hang out for lots of teenagers often causing trouble and being moved on by the police.
