hi - I'm still up weekday morning is better for me - anywhere cardiff/vale area. Have to get back to collect DS from school

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:16

Have to say that there never seems that great enthusiasm for a Welsh meetup. Don't know why ??

WelshBorisKarloff · 11/10/2006 13:17

If there is a meet up in Cardiff then ill come

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:20

Don't know what everyone is planning, where abouts are you in Cardiff ??

WelshBorisKarloff · 11/10/2006 13:21

Im in Swansea but Id be willing to travel

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:23

Well everyone often tries to arrange something in Cardiff. Why don't you make a suggestion of somewhere to meet in Cardiff, and give a week that you can make it and a time, often find a morning time suits everyone.

Why don't you suggest something and others might be interested ?? I might try and make a Cardiff meet ?

Overrun · 11/10/2006 13:24

I'm in Cardiff, and would also be up for a meet up, they never seem to come off. i can't guarantee that I will come until there is a date of course.
Are we thinking of in the day?
Or a mums night out?

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:25

Well I wouldn't have the confidence to come a night out to be totally honest, not until I have met some other mums and then I probably would.

I would try and get to Cardiff for a morning meet up

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:25

Overrun where are you, in Cardiff

Overrun · 11/10/2006 13:27

Llanishen

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:28

I'm in Newport, but could sort out the use of a car if a time etc. was arranged and a day !!

Overrun · 11/10/2006 13:31

What about going to Cafe Junior in Cardiff for want of a better place. What about going to St Fagans? Its easy to get to, and as well as having old welsh building preserved there, there are farm animals to look at, an old mill. Also a good childrens playground and an okay resturarnt/cafe.
Not the best time of year to go, but that strikes me as a good option

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:32

How easy is Cafe Junior to get to ? I know its quite easy by train but what about parking in that particular area, can you park outside ?

Overrun · 11/10/2006 13:35

My ds1 goes to afternoon nursery at 12.25pm which gives us a narrow time frame.
But if not St Fagans, Roath Park Lake, or the museum in Cardiff itself is good. There is a dinasour exhibition on, which my sons love.
I don't mind coming to Newport, or even going towards Swansea, but will only have a couple of hours.
What about next thursday the 19th.
Oh there is also somewhere called Cafe Junior, which is nice, but might be harder for people travelling from outside Cardiff to get to

Overrun · 11/10/2006 13:37

sorry forgot I had already mentioned Cafe Junior. It would be on a bus route from Cardiff central. I think you would be better off driving if you could get the car, and I could give you directions from M4 easily enough

poppy101 · 11/10/2006 13:38

No Overrun, Newport would be too far for mums travelling from Swansea, wouldn't be fair.

jofeb04 · 11/10/2006 14:28

If you all want to CAT me, we can sort it out through email. I can them email everyone else who was interested in the last one as well!

I'm so sorry WelshBorisKarloff, was posting while in work and had to log off before I saw your post. I'm actually in Neath but might be able to join in a meet up in Cardiff if its not around school pick up times.

wherethewildthingsare · 11/10/2006 16:26

I'm in Swansea but I work so can't make daytimes but not sure about a night out (maybe weekends?)
