Thanks!

Have you managed to find any fellow-speakers on MN? Unfortunately I'm very very uneducated and only speak english. Started to learn French during my MAT leave, but have no time for it since ds came along! (he's now 10mo) One day....

aku · 04/05/2004 15:18

hi Gella, how's that then? Did you live in the ibo speaking area, have parents from there?

Most Ibo speaking people understand and speak English, i just wanted to know if there was anybody with the samish background, somebody who grew up over there etc on mumsnet.

GillW · 05/05/2004 15:29

Hi aku - can't help with the ibo, but must live fairly close to you if you're in Kenilworth. I think you said on another thread that you're a librarian. Are you working at the University?

aku · 05/05/2004 16:02

Hi GillW, I am a college in Coventry - do you work in the University, a Library?

OP posts:
GillW · 05/05/2004 16:45

Hi Aku - no I don't work at the University, or in a Library (though I studied at Warwick Uni many years ago). I used to live in Kenilworth though, and am now just on the Kenilworth side of Leamington.

tanzie · 05/05/2004 21:53

No Ibo, but lived in Nigeria for a while.
