Does anyone else belong to the Haggerston SureStart scheme in East London? It offers lots of different things. I will be going on a boat trip with them soon, you can check out their website to see if you are within their catchment area and see if there is anything that interests you. (don't know the website address though sorry)

Hi - for some reason I can't see the messages on this thread, but I'm a local (with DS 4m)! Care to re-post?

Bizarre, now I see your message again. I've tried to find a specific website for Haggerston, but just get a general one for Surestart and basic details. Not sure if I'm officially in their cachement area (in Dalston), but if I am, maybe will see you there!

Hi aelita- thier website is pretty rubbish (i hadn't checked it out before I posted!)
I think Dalston is out of the catchment area but the surestart scheme is really good anyway. If you haven't registered with it already then you should. You can meet loads of people with kids in your area, I'm closer to Hackney road than Dalston but still in the same sort of area! I've got DD 5 and DS 2. I also look after nephew 6months.

Rang them up, kid and I'm waiting on some what's on info thro' the post. I'll be checking out their breastfeeding support group in the next couple of weeks, but I don't suppose you go to that!!

No I don't. Ds is over 2 now and I never did breast feed and its a bit late to start now
There is lots that goes on everyday so I'm sure you'll find it useful.
