I am 29 and 8 months with my first - would anyone in the area like to hook up? Have tried a Bromley thread before with no responses at all!

Hi Lubella-
I live in Chislehurst, if that's any use to you!
My DD is 7 months old though...

I'm about to ask if there are any Mums in this area in to attachment parenting and the like, but maybe I won't get much of a response!

lubella · 29/09/2006 14:03

Hi Thell nice to hear from you - I have done a few threads for our area to not much avail.
Can you tell me about attachement parenting? - I have heard of the term but not sure what it means in practical terms.

Hello!!
Attachment Parenting is basically about creating asecure bond with your child in order dor them to grow up being more independent and empathic in the long run...
wikipedia definition
AP parents usually into things like co-sleeping, babywearing, pro-breastfeeding, etc.

I'm a bit of a lentil-weaver, and on the look-out for other lentil-weavers to chat and eat cake with! I don't really know any real life ones )

lubella · 30/09/2006 23:13

Hi Thell,

Sounds interesting...I don't know if I qualify as a lentil weaver! but if you fancy hooking up for coffee locally I would be up for it, I start mat leave in Nov but am free every wednesday in Oct. I am relatively new to the area- have you been in Bromley long?

Hi there,

Good to hear I'm not alone. I've got a 17 week old little girl and she's great but would love to meet people! I moved to Catford just before I had her so don't know anyone around here. I don't drive so not that easy for me to get around but would be great to go for coffee or something? Let me know

Hannah

Hi there, I am a mum to be and we have just moved to Orpington 3 weeks ago, so I was hoping to meet some other expectant mums or a group of mums that would like to meet up every now and again for a chat and a coffee? I am totally happy to travel. Hope to hear from someone soon. Charlie

It's going to be my first and I don't know any other mum's or mum's to be yet and wondered if those nearby are still posting on here! :-) Steph. x x x

Hi there Bambi, it'd be lovely to meet up sometime, I've just got over the cold that seemed to be getting to everybody, and hopefully now I'll feel more lively for a while!
How old are the children you have, and when are you due with your third? x
