binkie · 21/04/2004 11:53

Might CD want cropped drawstring cargoish ones? I saw some in the Tie Rack or whatever it is in Paddington Station.

Obviously not very posh.

Kayleigh · 21/04/2004 11:57

I have this vision of CD walking into Starbucks and us all shouting "Countess, Countess, over here"
Can you imagine the faces

Coddy,I always buy the next ones each season. The petite ones are the right length for me. They wash well too.

ragtaggle · 21/04/2004 12:27

Shit! Just read this and it's 12.20 on Wednesday 21st April. Dh is on holiday from work but out with the car now, dd upstairs in bed and I'm meeting a friend in an hour. I would have loved to come!

Not sure I can make the 7th though.. What a shame. I have virtually every day blank between now and then - am trying to be a SAHM but wavering now my dd is six months. I am a freelancer and am really ready to go back. How do people do this? It's driving me mad! (Not that I was absolutely in love with my day job either but at least I was stimulated and took breaks when I wanted them) Anyway I'll keep an eye out for any more as my only hope of sticking with this time at home is getting to know more people with children. I've moved recently from Clerkenwell to Highbury but could get to the city easily. (Even willing to pay the congestion charge and exorbitant parking for getting out of the house opportunites)

Kaz33 · 21/04/2004 14:39

Huge apologies, got caught up with something at work requiring immediate response and now too late to come. Apologies, hope you had a great time.

binkie · 21/04/2004 14:42

Thank you Kayleigh - lovely meet-up, and wonderful to see the new people. (Special thanks for taking charge of the Metrobaby card.)

Sorry I had to leave, but as I see no-one else has posted I bet you are all still sitting there happily blethering not even noticing the drizzle.

Kayleigh · 21/04/2004 14:44

Kaz33, no problem, was worried in case you were the woman sitting on her own in the corner

Ragtaggle, there will be more. Hopefully you'll make the next one.

Twinkie ? You ok ?

Coddy, message was passed onto CD. She is in Oxford Street at this very moment.

Nice to see everyone again, and to meet some new faces. Vivat take care and keep in touch X.

We crossed Binkie, no only did another 10 mins after you'd gone. No problem with the card - MB emailed me while we were having lunch to say she is still at home and contractions still 10 mins apart. Guess she's in for a long afternoon poor love.

Hi all - great to meet you all, sorry about lack of blood on chin!

Had VVVV frustrating time in (boll)oxford street. Sodding Selfishes would take my undies back so I had to tell them that I wouldn't shop in their w**ky shop again and storm out in a huff. V annoying as was about to go and spend fortune on lovely Rigby and Peller bras but was so livid that I didn't feel like handing any cash over to those gits.

Then the cretin in Baby Gap totally ignored me and chewed gum and talked to her friend all the way through me paying for a hat for dd.

Went home in a huff after that so didn't get to Next, but thanks Cod will go and look soon.

Kayleigh · 21/04/2004 20:07

Shame CD. There is nothing worse than a unsatisfying shopping experience. Or maybe there is ...

Kayleigh · 22/04/2004 10:01

Twinkie, you ok ? Was worried when we didn't hear from you yesterday. We missed you !

OP posts:
