Hi I'm Kel, 23, I have a 14 month old daughter called Kyoko and I live in Brampton, cambs. Looking for other mums, who'd like to chat, maybe meet up in my area. I don't know anyone around here as I'm not originally from here and find it hard to socialise.

Hi Kel, Have you looked into parent toddler groups in your area.
Great for the little ones and good for a chat and a cuppa with other mums just like yourself.

local doctors surgery or health visitor should have information on any good ones in your area.

I'm away for the weekend visiting family but I'll check this thread when I get back on Monday. I don't know where newmarket is, haven't lived in Brampton long and haven't really explored surrounding areas. I'm originally from Liverpool, that's where I'm going tomorrow.

hi there. hope you had a nice weekend away az. is your dd walking?

hi cathy, i was due twins on 1st jan but we sadly lost them at four months. hows the pregnancy going? congrats. are you returning to work?

well would you believe it we have just put an offer in for a house in brampton! it overlooks my partners old house! it is in the newer estate and just what we are looking for. however it is in very bad condition so we will need to re decorate all over.

ok activities... well we go to a club on a monday and friday in st. neots. basically it is a mum and tots thing but they have a huge hall and loads of toys. monday is free style, kitchens, books, balls etc. friday is more structured and there are slides, climbing things etc. both very good. on a wednesday the same people do another one which is messy play with sand, paint water etc. hoping to go tomorrow. there is also the brewers fayre which has a fun factory, and a eat n play in st. neots which does food etc. there is apparently a mums and tots in hartford aswell. there are free sessions in the libary which are good and we also pay for tumble tots once a week. highly recomend!.

ok sorry for long post and bad spelling etc. i work with children not pc's! lol.

Wow, that was quick, thank you all.
Good luck with the house Amyjo.
I live on the RAF base, and we moved here from Watford, but home is Leeds. Would love to chat or meet for a coffee, thanks

Hi Amy, first of all I'd just like to say I'm so sorry to hear you lost your twins.

Yeah my DD is walking, she started walking 3 weeks before her 1st birthday. I'm taking her to a playgroup tomorrow, it's some art group in the parish hall, bit nervous as people can be a little ignorant towards us and keep their kids away from DD, that's what I've experienced so far anyway.

Did you get the house you put an offer on? I wish we could move but DH is so reluctant, he grew up in this house so I think he's a bit over attached to it. It's not like we'd sell it, I just want a bigger home.

How's the pregnancy going cathy? Do you know what your having? We had one of those 4d scans done to find out the sex of our DD, I can't believe hinchingbrooke don't tell you, you can pay £60 for a sexing scan but I thought what's the point, may as well pay a little more and get a 4d video scan.

I'm back now, last week went a little mad!
I hope you had a good time at the art group Az.
My pregnancy is going well, the only thing I've noticed is being shattered all the time! I'm quite happy waiting to see what it is, most of the time anyway! Have to admit I've been empted by the idea of the 4D scan - are they as good as the adverts say?

Azaezl · 25/09/2006 20:05

DD loved the art group, will be taking her again this Friday.

I found I was quite tired at the beginning and very end of my pregnancy, I think the last 3 weeks or so I was so fed up I just wanted her out.

The 4D scans are brilliant, DD looked exactly the same when she was born as her scan. She stuck her tongue out and smirked, waved, it was brilliant. Really helped to make it feel more real if you know what I mean, it was a few hours after she was born that it hit me "she's really mine and actually here"

Just wish I could have another but my husband doesn't want another, he's happy with just the 1.
