am new to MN, have joined in on one thread where others are really friendly but thought it would be nice to chat to nearby mums as well

Hi Babyboo1and2,
Welcome to Mumsnet!!
I'm in Chadwell Heath with a ds who is 14 months and 7 weeks pg with number 2.

hiya bubbaloo

congrats on the pg, you lucky thing! i have a ds who is 8yrs, and a dd who is 10 months

ds is fab, he adores being a big bro to dd, i intended to have a big age gap but now that i see how much ds loves dd am beginning to wish i had them closer together

am finding mn interesting - are there any particular topics/threads you always go for or do you browse?

Babyboo-this is a fab site but very addictive.I have my "usual" threads I post on,but although I do a fair bit of posting I also Lurk a bit too.

We're really looking forward to the baby but a bit worried as it's going to be a fairly short age gap and I'll have 2 in nappies and the dreaded double buggy.I have PCOS and it took 7 years of ttc when ds came along,so certainly didn't expect to fall pg after just one month with this one

i know a friend who was exactly like you, years ttc then after having first dd got pg after 2 mths of trying

is there a particular thread that you chat on that has other local mums - would love to join in

Babyboo-No,not really.I mainly chat on the post natal and antenatal threads on Mumsnet. There are quite a few people from around here on this site, but I thik they mainly lurk rather than post.We did meet up once at Kidspace which was nice, but nothing has ever been mentioned again about meeting up.I've met loads of others mums but mainly through other sites where they seem to be more friendly.

Of course...there are a few friendly ones on here too.

dont suppose you could let me know the name of the other sites ?

do you go to any toddler groups locally

i work part time and feel like i run around all week but some days it would be nice to have somewhere to go to get out of the house and actualy talk to another adult - all this makes me sound such a sad sap!

Email me at louandtwo at yahoo dot co dot uk and I'll tell you the other sites-wouldn't be fair to mention them here.

Whereabouts do you live,Romford?
I do go to a mum and baby group around here and have been to quite a few as there's lots in Chadwell Heath and we also go to Kidspace,Fairlop Waters and a few other soft play places fairly often as Oscar loves them.
