Just moved to barnsley

I have just moved to barnsley and just wanted to know a few things about the place. I am from hong kong and am Amerasian, so its all very different to me, my husband is from here and we have only been here for 2 days now and i am a bit homesick

My inlaws live in Barnsley. Leeds and Sheffield are fairly near to you and great for shopping (I like Leeds more but that's just personal) There are some great walks as well. We enjoy going to the sculpture park which is nearby for a walk. Sorry not much help on what else is local.
