Hi!

Have 3y9m ds and newbie. Stuck at home at the minute but wondered if anyone was about for a meet up soon? Maybe to a park or for coffee (or not with lively boy!)

Can't seem to find anyone local to me....

Jenum im not far from u, im of yeading lane near willow tree round about.

JenumGeranium · 03/09/2006 11:05

Wow small world!

I don't come on here very often, usually only if I need some advice about something!

f1nut · 03/09/2006 11:55

no i dont use it much, used to just dont realy find the time anymore.
so is your 7 year old looking forward to school nxt week, dani (7) is dreading it, she starts juniors and is worried work will be to hard and she will get picked on by older kids.
david who is almost 4 does half day at the school nursery, does your lil boy go to nursery?
do you work?

JenumGeranium · 03/09/2006 14:09

My 7 year old (Zack) goes into year 3 at Hayes Park and he is not looking forward to it! Everyone keeps telling me its a big change for them in the juniors! I hope he will be ok! My yougest (Kai) starts half day at the school nursery in a weeks time!

What school do yours go to?

I work part time in Mothercare World! Do you work?

f1nut · 03/09/2006 18:07

what the hayes mothercare? i spend half my life in there, im a buggyholic :O) just brought a phil&teds from there.

when was kai 4? they have great names.

i hoping (fingers crossed to start a college course in jan so when my youngst starts nursery next year i can get back into work, its a bit daunting, been just a mum for 7 years so will be a bit rusty.

my 2 go to yeading school. like you didnt think it was such a big deal going up to juniors as its still same school, just another building but everyone is hyping it up so now im actually quite nervous.

JenumGeranium · 03/09/2006 18:12

Yeah the Hayes Mothercare! I only work afternoons but it suits me fine! I have only been there a few months! I used to work in a private day nursery in West Drayton before!

Kai will be 4 in October (can't believe he will be 4 already!).

Thanks about the names - I always wanted different but not too weird names for my kids! God knows what I will call another if we have one!

What course will you be doing? I would love to study to be a midwife, but would find it hard going back to college I think!

I am a little nervous about year 3 too - I didnt think that much about it till people keep telling you its a big deal! Well maybe we can keep in touch on here and help each other with any problems!

f1nut · 04/09/2006 16:17

hiya, oh isnt it a lovely day
yeah be good to keep in touch, perhaps meet up if u fancey.

i would love to do midwifery aswell, such a long slog though till ur actually fully trained, hoping to do a childcare course.

JenumGeranium · 04/09/2006 22:07

How was your dinner? lol!

What childcare course are you hoping to do? I did the NNEB course a few years ago now.

Would be cool to meet up sometime!

Bye for now!

xx

My eldest will be 4 on 25th Nov. So they are all pretty close in age then.

I also LOVE Mothercare World. Pop in for a couple of bits and end up spending an absolute fortune!

My friend lives near to Yeading Lane. Off Broadmead on the new developement.

Well will catch up properly later, am off on our first shopping trip without dh.... (ds2 is 5weeks old...!)

Oh why does everything happen before start of term?? Ds1 has picked up nits from i don't know where and he is due back at school tomorrow! Sods law or what....

Little one is called Austin. He a really good baby and his big brother loves him so that makes it easier...

Apparently its Christmas first, then his b'day then we have another Christmas. Nice try i reckon!

Well off to make up bottles and to try and stop myself scratching now.....

Hi Michelle - I'm Jenny!

I am not even sure I know what courses are available anymore - it was so long ago that I did my NNEB. Is the NNEB course still going or does it have a new name now? I would recommend that one if it exists not only because it was the one that I did, but that was always meant to be better than the NVQ course that was around a the same time. I think the NNEB was more recognised. I don't even know what employers look for now tbh.

What options do you have?

SnowBoo - congrats on your little one! Hope the nits are clearing up!

SnowBoo · 07/09/2006 21:37

Nits have been taken care of. Turns out my poor nephew has them (he's 13) and he caught them from my sis friends little girl. Apparently she has them permanently.....

Well first day back at school went well apart from bad mummy being late at home time! Poor ds looked really sad when i got there. Must get organised! How long does this take? So used to only having one to get ready am still in a bit of shock at how long it takes to get another tiny person out of the house!
