Hey other mums,

I'm down in Plymouth...am not a surf widow - am a band window instead! DS is one. I am, unfortunately, a WOHM, so not much use socially! But there are other westcountry based mums on here, promise!
The pace of life is a little different to that of London down 'yurr... but you'll soon get used to it!

Baysmum · 18/08/2006 12:47

What is a WOHM?? Sounds intruiging - am I being v thick here?x

not intriguing at all...it is a Work Outside the Home Mum (as opposed to Stay At Home Mum and Work At Home Mum)..means i'm stuck in an office monday to friday...well I become a WAHM once a week...

Baysmum · 18/08/2006 12:56

Oh ok - thanks, and thanks for your mags - v nice to know I'm not totally alone on a wet friday!

Baysmum · 20/08/2006 18:35

Thank gawd essbee! I was starting to worry that Baysmum would think I was making things up!

Baysmum · 22/08/2006 22:50

Was getting a bit worried for a bit there. Come on other Exeter mums, don't give me ammunition in my quest to move back to civilisation - JOKE! Actually, it took me a while to settle there after living in Manchester for years so I suppose a little patience is called for. Am not too lonely at the mo anyway as many friends and family finding Exeter a convenient stop off on way further SW on hols - beginning to feel like a B&B here! Wot kind of stuff do u get up to Essbee?

Sounds like all the usual stuff we like (or would like) to do. Did you really type that last msg in the middle of the nite?
Guess you are looking forward to september hey? Is it your 5 yr olds first year at school? I'm a primary teacher and not going back in Sptember is wierd for me - seems like there are loads of teachers in Exeter and not enough jobs. I need to decide if I'm going to go for it and try to teach here or think of some other form of employment.

Maybe I'll look into tuition but I quite like the whole staff room camraderie thing too. We'll see, keep having mad new business ideas - its nice to dream about being your own boss hey? Where have you moved from?

I'm on a mission to thread all these different "anyone from xeter" threads together! there have been 3 lately all saying the same sort of things but different people. Baysmum are you still around, cos on the other thread there are also mums new to the area with a baby who want to meet up.

we moved from Manchester earlier this year too, I am a windsurf widow rather than a surf one.

here is one of the other threads about being new to Exeter and wanting to meet people.
