I'll call the restaurant tomorrow, will book for 12 for now and see what they say re deposit etc, can call to change the number later if needed.

1pm should be fine, I'll be a bit late but there by 1:30, and I don't think I've ever known us to order anything but wine before that point anyway :)

Pho do not take reservations on Saturdays.

I asked what was the likelhood of a table being available for 12/14 people on a Saturday at 1pm and they seemed to think we should be fine, but suggested someone pop in half an hour earlier and let them know that a big party was on the way.

So what do you think, shall we risk it? Ity might make it a bit difficult with people arriing slightly later.

We could meet in the Black Lion pub or somewhere near by and wait until we have everyone before going in to eat.

Or we could go for somewhere else

I don't know, because I really don't think a popular restaurant would have a table for 14 available with barely any notice surely?
