Dumfriesshire Mums

Anyone living in the Dumfriesshire area fancy a coffee? My daughter is 7mths old and once her big brother (6yrs) goes back to school, I'd like her to meet other babies as I'm fairly new to this area and have not yet got into the Mums and Babies thing with her. Thanks.

Hi JandNMum, I'm in Dumfries itself. My dd is just coming up 11 months and I'd be more than happy to meet up with you. If you want any details of toddler groups in Dumfries itself i can pass on details of a couple of groups we go to.

Hi Twiga, thanks for the message. I live in Kirkcudbright but once DS is back to school, I could manage a morning trip to Dumfries. Or perhaps half-way somewhere? Would appreciate some toddler group details too - thanks.

Hi again, sorry it's been a while have had a hectic week with helping run a hol club. Just off to bed shortly but wanted to check in to say hi and I will post some stuff over the next couple of days. Need to get the house etc back into some kind of order after this week and will have more time to post once that's all sorted .

Hi Jandnmum, so sorry I didn't get back to you. have had very disorganised time of it lately and dd has been teething which has been horrendous, lot of broken sleep but at least she now has one tooth through before her birthday on thurs - thought she was going to get to one still sporting the gummy look .

Anyways here's the info I promised:
St Georges toddler group is Mondays 9.30-11am (on George street)
Dumfries Baptist church run a toddler group Tues & Weds - Tues 10-11.30am, Weds 9.30-11am

Both groups are £1 per family - St Georges is 50p to join initially. No waiting list for either and both lovely, friendly groups. We go to both, Weds at the Baptist one.

A great place in dumfries for under 5's is Neverland soft play which is free for under 1's and has been a great place to go on wet days. they have a small area in addition to the main soft play for under 3's which has it's own small ball pool and tiny tikes rockers. Can get coffee, cake and sandwich type stuff there and they are normally up for heating baby food if need be.

There are some other play groups which I'm sure if I ask about I could find info on for you. NCT in this area are quite good too and run beat baby groups and other stuff so might be worth getting in touch with them too.

Still up for meeting if you want, I don't drive but a happy to work out buses to places so let me know. Again sorry this has taken so long.
