Thought I might as well start a thread on this one.

So far it's me and lou33, chinchilla, possibly FF and possibly SB.

Any takers?

Suppose I should give more details!

This is a child-free, guaranteed to be wild and drunken night in Colchester (Essex). Pub first then 80s night at a local club.

I've already got a houseful that night so I can't offer accommodation I'm afraid, but I could certainly assist with arranging accommodation for any distant mumsnetters!

I'd like to come, if everything else permits, but only if I can be a wimp and skip the club, ok?

spacemonkey · 07/03/2004 21:24

zebra, why don't you want to come to the club?!

spacemonkey · 07/03/2004 21:32

Let me just add, this is not a cheesy club with medallion men. It's at Colchester Arts Centre, which is more of a down-at-heel bohemian slightly grungey type establishment. Dress code is anything you like.

I have an impecable record to uphold, Spacemonkey; have never been to a club, so why ruin my perfect stretch, now?!
Oh, I reckon it will be unpleasantly loud music, bare drunk midriffs, flashing lights, nowhere to sit, shouting to hold a conversation, too hot -- and believe me, you do not want me to bare my midriff right now.

spacemonkey · 07/03/2004 21:43

trust me, my midriff will never see the light of day again

I don't ordinarily like clubs, but this one is fun and you get a good mix of studenty types in there rather than 14 yr olds and medallion men

Chinchilla · 07/03/2004 22:02

I will not be bearing any of my flabby midriff either...so feel free to come and shake your 'thang' with us Zebra

lou33 · 08/03/2004 01:01

I tend towards the baring of flesh though .

spacemonkey · 08/03/2004 09:52

Not your guts though lou

lou33 · 08/03/2004 10:27

No the middle area never sees light of day, that is true.

lou33 · 08/03/2004 10:28

Btw, are you saying I have guts?!!

spacemonkey · 08/03/2004 10:28

I'm saying nothing more on the subject

OP posts:
lou33 · 08/03/2004 10:33

Why is there no big blowing rasberry icon on here? Or a mooning one come to that?

lou33 · 08/03/2004 10:35

Actually, my final say on the subject is......

WOW!!!!!

Crunchie · 08/03/2004 10:56

Me me me me, I wanna come Far better than the zoo anyday

I was thinking it was so long ago when we did the zoo and I've bumped into Chinchilla in all sorts of odd places ! Like Asda

I just need to sort the overnight babysitter thing as DH will be working. BTW is it DH free?? I only ask as DH will be around the corner and will finish work around 10.30 - 11.00pm

lou33 · 08/03/2004 14:02

Bring him if you want Crunchie,it's up to you. Is he at the Mercury?

Crunchie · 08/03/2004 14:24

Yeah, they are doing Macbeth if you fancy it

lou33 · 08/03/2004 15:36

I used to work there.

Crunchie · 14/03/2004 11:38

SPACEMONKEY ARE YOU THERE??

There I was last night, minding my own business - going for an indian takeaway - listening to Dream 100 for a few minutes... and what do I hear, YOUR NAME!!

How bizarre, apparently you didn't know the presenter had been on holiday!! The wierdest thing is I don't usually listen to Dream 100

spacemonkey · 14/03/2004 14:51

EH?!

I must have a doppelganger then

OP posts:
Festivefly · 14/03/2004 16:06
