We're a small group of native English speakers who are fairly fluent in German - fluent enough to speak only in German amongst ourselves (but we have resolved to take dictionaries along to the next meet-up). Any native German speakers would be especially welcome to join us, or anyone wanting to brush up their spoken German. We're planning to meet fortnightly.

Fauve It's 'Liebchen'

Where are you meeting next time round? Richmond/Kingston is o.k. ish for me to get to, but Wimbledon is a bit far around. Oh and I'm a 'native' German speaker

Fauve · 11/07/2006 12:56

Oh yeah, thanks - must proof my posts The problem is, I guess, that Wimbledon is VERY convenient for me and a couple of others; but I can see what the others think. You would be a very honoured guest as an echt German speaker!

Oho I haven't been an honoured guest in a long time

just let me know Otherwise maybe somewhere in Earls Court? That's where the District Lines converge

Fauve · 19/07/2006 19:39

MrsBigD, our Wimbledon venue is just too convenient to abandon, I'm afraid - you know what it's like when you've got kids. However, if you were to set up a local group near you, perhaps we could all meet up at a national convention ?

Hi there

Your messages were posted a while ago and I was wondering if you still meet up. I'm actually a native German and found your topic by accident. But I have to admit I'm now extremely curious ....

Hi, am a German mum with a 11 week old baby and live in Richmond. Does anyone fancy meeting up for a coffee and a chat?

Lene80 · 16/03/2009 21:50

Hi am a German mum to be (in August 09) and would like to meet up.

celiaCP · 20/04/2009 19:08

Hi there,
I'm also a 'native' german speaking mum-to-be, although it's been a while and I don't get much practice now i'm living in London. Recentaly moved to Crystal Palace and would love to meet up to talk german, eat cake and generally have a laugh. Anyone living in my area? I'm 30 weeks pregnant now. Cheers
