Needs some inside info on the area. Not really a meet up as such, more of a cry for new friends!

We're thinking of moving to the area and i'm wondering if there are any mn'ers here!

DD1 will be at school, she's 4.5yrs. DD2 will be with me, she's 5.5mths.

Please tell me I'm not going to be going all 'Shirely Valentine' and talking to the wall .

Hi there. I live in Addlestone which is about 5-10 minutes away from Weybridge. I have a DD 3 years old and about to drop again in 6-7 weeks. Weybridge is a beautiful little village and has a great park for the little ones to play in. When will you be moving? Fiona (Satonatuffet)

Hi there Satonatuffet..... not sure of exact move date as we've still got to find a damn house . Seems that properties come and go so quickly in that area. Am looking at one tomorrow so fingers crossed. DD1 starting school in Sept so would really like to do it sooner rather than later as don't want to cause her too much angst having to make new friends.

Good luck with the new bub. DD2 has decided that 5am is a great time to start the day so am even more knackered than before when she was waking during the night. Must post something on the sleep thread.....

Keep in touch.

Ah thanks fattiemumma (great name by the way).

Just looked at a house today on Heatherfield Lane (just off the roundabout as you come in from Seven Hills Rd).

Taking DH to see it on Saturday.....fingers crossed.

ooh its realy nice round there.
I very nearly sent my son to Walton Leigh school which is just near there.

good luck with the house hunting.

glad you like the name

Satonatuffet · 24/06/2006 20:10

Hi. Did DH like the house? I know the schools are great in Weybridge and it has a quick rail link to London but the house prices are pretty high.
It's a tough day when they wake early. I'm a little scared of number 2 coming along as I don't want DD1 to lose out if I'm too tired or short of patience. Are you finding that part of it all ok?
Any luck with houses in Walton?
Fiona

Hi there Fi. Ahhh, that age old conundrum of how to deal with 2 whilst feeling like death on a cracker. My answer? Cbeebies . Just get thru first 12 weeks however you can. Don't do too much. Don't beat yourself up about how much TV DD1 is watching. Do simple things with her that require little energy from you like baking cake, reading book, play doh, cutting and sticking. I beat myslef up about how often the TV was on, but came to realise v quickly that you only have so much energy and to stop myself turning into grouchy mummy from hell I just did whatever I had to to get thru the day.

Anyhoo, each to their own. I make sure that DD1 and I always curl up on bed and read stories together at night time. Thats our time and I would frequently say sorry for being grumpy during the day .

DD2 now waking at 6.30. Yippeeee.

DH liked house. Not as much as me. But will use womanly charms and see what happens!

Been looking in Wlaton and Weybridge. But as you so rightly point out, they can be rather pricey. Am sure we'll find dream house soon.

Oh, do you know what bub2 will be?

G xx

Hi Georgie Girl. Thanks for the advice. I am resorting to TV so much now as I feel so big and tired (especially in the heat) that I can't run around like a loon with her like I normally would do. She's a patient little girl already and very good natured I just don't want that to change when this one arrives. Quiet activites sound good though and I like the idea of making sure I put her to bed and cuddle up with her as our special time.

Don't know the sex of this one but am happy either way (I know people say that but I am). DH would like a boy but from the little boys I know they always seem so much harder work and noisy. Hopefully my calming influences..........hmm.....would sort it out.

Glad DD2 is pushing her getting up time back slightly. Have you started weaning her yet? I remember the Health Visitors saying they wake up in the night/earlier when they need to go onto solids.

Where are you living now then? Quite far away from Weybridge area?

We have a boys name picked (Duncan, as we're both Scottish) but any suggestions on a girls name?

Fiona

As I type, DD1 watching Babrie Mermaidia (finally caved into the whole Barbie thing about 2 months ago). Picked her up from her fathers (we're divorced) this morning and she proceeded to vomit in the car. Car now smells of curdled milk vomit - yum! DD2 is watching as well in her bouncy chair. it's just going to be one of those days.

DD2 was on solids at 18 weeks. Just couldn't hang her out any more. She was waking twice in the night and was glugging 8oz formula. Did BF until 13 weeks but she was sucking me dry and I was knackered to tell you the thruth. She's on 3 meals a day now and 4 milk feeds. She's a lovely chubby thing and so good natured. Takes after DH!

Hmmmm, girls names. Well, DD1 is Mollie Ava and DD2 is Liberty Violet. Love Amelia, Eva, Emily and Verity. Also got a soft spot for Sophie and Emma and Olivia as well but maybe not the most creative of choices!

We're in Wimbledon at the moment. So lots of celeb spotting. Saw Steffi Graff on Sat in the local department store trying on shoes. She's very tall.

Right, better get back to the holligans before they start hollering.

We're off on hols on Wed for 2 weeks so will catch up with you when we get back. Try and keep cool (lots of lovely tepid lavender baths helped me) and just put your feet up and try and enjoy (?) last few weeks before bub makes an appearance. G xx

DD1 is Ellie and although I liked Evie or Elsie for this baby, DH wasn't too keen. So far the 2 girls names we have are Heather and Kirsty...again not too exciting.

Hope you have a great holiday and keep in touch.

Fiona
