Hi there me too, plus DD (a whole year old last friday...where does the time go?) and DS Smile

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/06/2006 10:27

Oh - happy belated birthday to DD tb.

I'm in. Won't have my car that day so can have fun trying to squeeze the 3 wheeler pushchair into the cabriolet boot, which I already know it doesn't fit in!!

teabelly · 12/06/2006 09:28

Thanks Smile - can't believe a whole year has passed - and then sometimes I can't believe it's only a year!Grin

CSWS - do you have a car seat that you can carry out? and would dd sleep in that? that may be better than trying to fit the buggy in Smile

Georgiesmum · 12/06/2006 15:05

Can't come Sad.

As we will be in France Smile.

But hopefully will make it to another meet-up

teabelly · 12/06/2006 15:53

GM we just did bon jovi at the bowl on sunday so I certainly won't be passing judgement! Wink

30th fine for me too...CSWS - would that be better for you, esp considering car situ??

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/06/2006 13:18

I have Hitchin MAMA on 30th until 12, but if we can make it a bit later than normal (12:30 ish) then I can make it.

PC - are you back from hols by then?

teabelly · 13/06/2006 23:50

12.30 ish no problem here...you know me if there's food involved I'll accommodate - even more so if the food involves fat chips Grin

Georgiesmum · 14/06/2006 11:54

12.30 ish fine with me too, thanks for rearranging AGAIN ladies so I start Yet another thread? Blush

OP posts:
Georgiesmum · 14/06/2006 11:55

oh teabelly, did you drive? if so how was it getting out of the car parks?

OP posts:
teabelly · 14/06/2006 21:15

GM it was an absolutely awful. Driving there - not too bad as it's staggered arrivals for everyone. But leaving - well 45,000 all leaving at once, most driving = pandemonium Grin Concert ended 10.30, managed to get out of gridlocked car park (and we were parked relatively near the front!) at midnight, crawled to Woburn turn off for next hour and half, then 30 mins from there to home. All in all 29 miles = 4 hours Shock. Dh's friends also went and they had one hubby pick them up on the main road just along from the Bowl, and they got home at midnight so I'd say park away from the Bowl and you'll probably be able to get away before the masses hit the road!

Still I count it as better than the time it took me to get home from Robbie at Knebworth which was 4.5 hours to get 9 miles! Wink

Nicci13 · 15/06/2006 11:49

Hi everyone, am new to mumsnet and see you have been meeting for a few months now. I live in Hatfield with one 6 month old little boy called Alex and another on the way (due November). Would be interested to meet mumcs in the area - is your meeting open to new joiners? If not just say and i'll keep my nose out! Wink

teabelly · 15/06/2006 12:31

Nicci - the more the merrier - it usually ends up being just a few of us regulars going, but not from lack of trying to encourage others Wink. If you've read this thread you'll see we've changed the date to Friday 30th June at 12.30, Fatty Arbuckles on the Stevenage Leisure Park - would be fab if you could come too Grin

futurity · 15/06/2006 12:39

TeaLady...can I just stick my head on this thread for a second and ask you to look at my thread \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=222&threadid=182459&stamp=060615112459\here} about Milton Keynes parking as I am panicing and could do with tips on where to park from someone who has been recently

Thanks!

Georgiesmum · 15/06/2006 21:15

Teabelly. Do you know where your friends hubby picked them up from as my Dh has said he will come and get us if need be so I have to try and sort it out!!

Otherwise it will take us about 6 hours to get home!

misdee · 15/06/2006 21:17
