Is Greencastle in Co.Tyrone? My brother lives there :) I am in Co.Antrim!

carrieanneelizabeth · 05/05/2006 16:37

Yes Greencastle is near me, about 12 miles I'd say. Isn't that where Tyrone Tom from Big Brother came from haha! Thanks for your replies! Pity you're not nearer to me geographically. What are you up to today? My baby is asleep and I'm having a bit of quiet time.

Oh sorry, missed this until now!! I was waiting on my ds waking too!!! Now I am having my night time surf and cuppa!! I agree, it's a pity I wasn't nearer..but maybe next time I am heading that way I'll let ya know?!

Have you joined netmums by any chance? There are a fair few local girls on the NI boards there?

carrieanneelizabeth · 06/05/2006 04:33

Hi again! yes I found NetMums as well and have had a reply already there too from a local lady. I'm glad! Yes you're very welcome to get in touch if you're ever down this way. I can't sleep, it's 4:30am so I'm instant messaging with my parents in Australia. Hope you have a nice weekend. From Carrie-Anne

Aww. Got all excited there Thought there was one planned

multitasker · 19/11/2006 21:43

I'm in Co Armagh and am freezing my ass off these days - anyone else feel a trip to Dunnes for some very unsightly thermals coming on this week??
There are a few mnetters near Bangor, maybe we could have a particular night for a chat on here as it seems unlikely we'll all get together.
I really should be making lunches and trying to find uniforms but I'll skulk around for another wee minute, or two...

Gloworm · 19/11/2006 21:44

sorry!!!

just got a bit carried away with all the "local" threads I just stumbled across

we should plan one though!

Gloworm · 19/11/2006 21:46

multi...love the idea of "meeting up" on MN (very unliky I will have time to go to a real one anytime soon

Gloworm · 19/11/2006 21:51

multitasker · 19/11/2006 21:54

Whats new in Donegal GW? I'm not long back from Derry - was my Dads bd so had a little meet-up, the drive home was not fun though - so much bloody rain, you can tell I'm not a fan of the cold.DH is watching Apocalypse Now I think and 3dc are sleeping. A bit of me time I think[grin

Rosybumpily · 19/11/2006 22:05

Oh hello! I'm in Co.Antrim. Lived in Buncrana briefly and always go to Carrigart direction on holiday. A couple of my friends are mumsnetters, one in Bangor, one in Stewartstown direction.

multitasker · 19/11/2006 22:10

You see - there are loads of us!! Will have to go now and get organised or the morning will be chaotic, will pull this thread tomorrow night. Whats you goal for the week? I'd like to make a really good curry from scratch so any hints accepted.

Hiya Rose! A rainy day in Co.Antrim! We lit the fire and camped out on the beanbag in front of it lol

I have a friend who lives in Stewartstown, and one in a place called fivemiletown, planning a visit to there soon!

There is a site called netmums that some of us post on (Very infrequently in my case, too many of those damned tickers that tell us how many seconds old someone's goldfish is ), there is a forum for NI mummies, you may find somewhere near you there????

Rosybumpily · 19/11/2006 22:33

The weather is brutal at the moment!

loopity · 19/11/2006 22:47

Hi everyone, another NI mum here

Gloworm · 20/11/2006 19:42

wow, quite a few more have appeared, hi everyone

I've spent another day painting and varnishing, so I think I deserve a relaxing glass of wine in front of the fire

multitasker · 25/11/2006 22:38

Roseb - I didn't get round to making that curry, what about adding cream?. Did pasta carbonara instead, it went down a treat. I'm going to do some piano pratice for 20 and hit the sack, DH has gone out. Anyone enjoy the dancing? Have accepted the weather is going to be shite from now on so bought two (more) polo necks last night.Live in my boots now as well.
