*NORTHWICH MUMS*

Hello
Moved to Northwich nearly 3 years ago and although have lots of lovely friendly parents at Ds's nursery, they all work full time - ( I work 3 days ) so don't get to see them outside of nursery other than parties. Would like to see if there are any other mums in Northwich in same position. I go to visit my friends in Stockport almost every week and its brilliant, however wondered if any Northwich mums would like to arrange local meet-up X

Chatee - thanks for that - have been to Joe Crows but the last couple of times it was heaving ! Once there was a nursery trip in there - enough said - 5 nursery nurses trying to keep their peepers on 20 2year olds!!! However he does like it - maybe I should just get my backside out of bed a little bit earlier and go at 9.30am !!

There was also a FAB toddler group run in the church on middlewich road that i attended for about 3 years before moving house where i met many lovely people(it did have a waiting list but it is well worth popping in to see a session and putting your name down if you wished-you can always say no if you have found other alternatives)
do you know middlewich road on the way into town?from rudheath?

onelittlebaby · 23/04/2006 21:01

yeah - Middlewich road in 2 mins from my house - which church though? Shurlach or the methodist actually on the main road

lol When I saw this thread title, I thought "I must tell onelittlebaby!" We keep saying we will go to Joe Crow's don't we? Difficult whilst I am carless. Don't worry about eggs btw Smile

onelittlebaby · 23/04/2006 21:15

Threelittlebabies - not your fault your carless ! I will come and get you one day and we can do Joe Crows !!!!!!

think it's the methodist/evangelical on the main road(it's on the right as you go to northwich(if you were walking from rudheath)
it has a garden in front and to the side and is a big red brick style
further along
there used to be a car wash nearby and a little bridge with a chippy to the left and tesco to the right
does that make any sense??

Nemo1977 · 23/04/2006 21:22

Hi
not from northwich either..am in knowsley but my mum and sisters live in acton bridge and have done for around 6yrs so know northwich well ish.
Also lurk on stockport, lancashire and liverpool meets..lol
I have a little boy who is 2.6yrs and a daughter who is 4mths.

onelittlebaby · 23/04/2006 21:30

yes that makes sense - its all still there - am a Tesco regular

making me feel slightly homesick as it brings back so many memories of dd (and ds is the age now of when we left)
if you do have little ones then i really would try to pop in and speak to the people who run it(it has most probably changed leaders/vicars since i was there)
try a tuesday/wednesday morning at 10am

threelittlebabies · 23/04/2006 21:35

onelittlebaby- we need better names! A duo perhaps?

onelittlebaby · 23/04/2006 21:38

Nemo - thanks for that am - familiar with Acton Bridge ( I think) am from Stockport so I might be gatecrashing the meet-ups !

cheltenhamgal · 30/04/2006 19:59

well live in cheltenham now, but if you ever have a weekend meetup would love to come, grew up just on the outskirts of northwich, higher marston, near great budworth. I visit my family regularly and will be going to the northern meet in manchester, courtesy of mum babysitting ! :)

onelittlebaby · 01/05/2006 14:33

yes I like great budworth - its very Chocolate box picturesque! I live in Lostock so its only up the road! I go on hols in 2weeks time so maybe will think about arranging a meet-up sometime in June - if anybody up for it!!

suzywong · 01/05/2006 14:42

I lived in Sandbach til I was 10 and both my parents taught at Northwich Grammar school for years. Does that count?

cheltenhamgal · 01/05/2006 17:52

I was the first year of mixed at "northwich grammar" I think it then turned into Leftwich High School ?

onelittlebaby · 01/05/2006 22:01

was gonna say that I did'nt recognise Northwich Grammer! I think it is now Leftwich - but yes Suzywong I think that counts! I think we are building up quite a good meet-up !!!
