Are you like me?
Sitting at home with the newest but most important person in your life, watching daytime tv, giving up on the never-ending housework, surfing the internet - typing with one hand because baby monopolises the other and the most interesting thing you can think to do to get out of the house is going to the closest shopping area and walking around aimlessly?
Well, fancy meeting up?

Or, do you have any suggestions on what a mum can do to make the days even more fulfilling?

I just discovered that Barking Adult College offers free Baby Yoga Classes - I promptly signed up. That's something I'm looking forward to. Know of anything else?

Hi Kayveekaybee,

Whereabouts are you and how old is your LO?
I'm in Chadwell Heath and have a ds who is 10 months old. There are lots of baby groups around here-I go to 2 a week at the moment, but hoping to go to more as soon as I get a car.
There's also a few musical groups which are fairly local, aswell as baby massage.
There's also quite a few of us from Essex and we met up at Romford a little while ago which was nice.I'm always up for meeting up-I've got far too much time on my hands now I'm a SAHMGrin.

Hi Bubbaloo,
Chadwell Heath is just down the road from me. I live near Becontree station. DS is now 4 months old and is becoming very aware of his environment. I feel really guilty when I have him cooped up in the house for a whole day.
SAHM.... sounds like the best job in the world.

Yeah I'm really enjoying being at home with himSmile.
Have you started taking your Ds to baby groups yet? Perhaps if you have a word with your HV,she might be able to let you know of the things locally where you can take him.
Have you many friends with babies? I don't actually have that many friends with babies-most have older children,so I know how difficult it can be finding places to go and going out on your own.I also havne't got a car at the moment which can be very limiting, but I still manage to walk to the park when the weather's nice and hopefully I'll be getting a car very shortly, which'll be fun...especially as I havent driven for about 6 years, lol!Grin.

I haven't started taking the DS to any baby groups yet. I will speak to the HV the next time I take him to be weighed.
