8.30 is early for us - you all remember my bedtime traumas don't you
.
In all seriousness we don't normally get home until 6.30, though from here on that will be 6, so by the time we do tea etc we couldn't get him to bed much earlier. DS is pretty tired now from school so I might be able to being it forward a bit once it starts getting darker in the evenings (it's a lot lighter in the evenings here for later in the frozen north
).
Re: Edinburgh bicycle... They do have a great reputation but as it happens I've had terrible experiences with them! Loads of issues with the company cycle to work scheme and I did go in to talk to them ask for advice based on DS's height and they were spectacularly useless and quite unhelpful. And didn't even have any little kids bikes in store that I could take him into try. I was very disappointed.
As a rule of thumb, I would be interested in M's opinion...
when sitting on a bike should they be able to put their feet flat/on tip toes/waving in the air? I'm sure this bike is way too big but just curious as to how big. Based on ridgeback's sizing info, he could use either a 12 or 14''. There's an Evans cycle shop in town I think so I might try in there to see if they have any bikes to try before buying one. DS is finally getting the hang of his balance bike and can lift both feet off the ground so hopefully will be ready for a pedal bike before too long.
