I just looked on a map and realized that you're too far for me to get there via public transportation. Sigh.

survivour · 09/12/2003 21:24

I drive, and don't mind picking anyone up from a train or tube station, I drop of boys at 9am to school and I must be free no later than 3pm to pick them up. Possible sites=Enfield TownEnfield ChaseOakwood*Brimsdown. Let me know, if its not to far, I'll be there.

I have another Lunch date Monday!!! , can u believe it !!!Going with post natal group , as it is our last week.

After all these weeks, now getting booked up, which makes a change, as the fourth friend just cancelled on me last night for 2morrow!!!Now I am getting a complex. After my rant on the DIFFICULT FRIENDS thread , is it any wonder I feel crap about myself. I think there must be a conspiracy between them all!!!Thank god my hubbbie is at home with me at the mo, otherwise I would have gone spare by now. Sorrrreeee just had to get that of my chest. Can sigh with a little relief.

Survivour, it was good to meet and have a chat and your little boy is v cute.

Will have to arrange another date for lunch/coffee. May be in Barnet for Kayleigh. Dont know what is a good date bcos of Xmas.

survivour · 10/12/2003 14:31

Melsy don't worry! we will do a monthly meet -up, that way you will not get double bookings, maybe the first Monday of everymonth, or something like that at a certain time, that way anyone else who wants to come along will know where we are.....I will be at Costa coffee, Monday 15th at 12noon, with buggy containing one DS! Anyone bored welcome....................

survivour · 12/12/2003 01:59

Bump up!!!!!!!

melsy · 12/12/2003 08:07

Your up late or is it early???

Is "Bump up" your ploy to get this onto active conversations???? Being thick this morning!!!

Wills · 12/12/2003 08:42

Hi, I'm not going to be able to make it either cos I'm on holiday from this Saturday, but would love to come in New Year

survivour · 12/12/2003 11:11

Yes, Bump up!!!!!!! So people know where we are...
Right I on the commitee has decided: monthly meet up, on the second monday of each month, starting January 12th 2004, next will be February 9th 2004. Any one with ideas? on places to meet, or your favourite cafe, or it could include a mothers and toddlers group. The choice is yours. I do not want any complaints of you not having friends!! we are here to force them on to you!!!!! Joking aside, hopefully this will motivate mumsnetters to go out more, and get rid of that nasty depression that seems to hit us all at one point or another. Yes melsy, Sinan decided that he would keep me awake again!!!!!!!!!!!!

melsy · 12/12/2003 12:05

There is a nice cafe in the Barnet Spires shopping centre on the same side as Next, can't remember the name but we could meet there. HUGE menu selection. There is also a good car park at the back.

Hi,

I know it's short notice, but if your still meeting tomorrow at Enfield can i tag alone?

Jess

survivour · 15/12/2003 02:21

Hi Jess, I will be up at costa coffee, at 12 noon, anyone is welcome, last week there were a group of mums there with their babies too, and it is child friendly, they even have a diabled loo, with changing table on the ground floor. Kayleigh are you still coming? I'll be sitting outside, if there is room, and they have electric bar heaters, outside, just above your head, so you don't get cold, my baby pointed it out, I just thought it was a mild day.......DS will be in a cream courdaroy toggled coat, 17months, in navy blue, small stroller, bag laden of course, just in case of emergencies.......And me in black like usual, with a blonde head.

kayleigh · 15/12/2003 09:20

I am leaving home for Enfield in about half an hour as have some xmas shopping to do. So will be desperate for a cup of tea around 12:00. See you later !! Am wearing Jeans and black/white jumper plus dark jacket. Ds2 is wearing blue/white striped dungarees and will either be in or out of a purple/black buggy.

kayleigh · 15/12/2003 13:59

Survivour and Jess234 it was so lovely to meet you both. Your kids are just lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing you again in January. My little one wore himself out with all that sorting out of my purse and is now fast asleep in the car !
