Ok there must be someone in West London, or even more central. How about meeting up in the New Year?

That is if anyone would want to meet me.....

Pie what about SW? Willow2 and I were discussing a meet up today, you could come out to us (if you don't get nosebleed past Shep Bush lol!

pie · 04/12/2003 17:40

How SW are we talking, have nightmares about Putney after I went to school there

Wimbledon/Richmond is fairly easy to get to.

I would probably GET a nosebleed in Sheperds Bush if the Chicken Man is there. Ranting now aren't I?

august24 · 04/12/2003 17:45

august24 · 04/12/2003 23:20

in north london that is!

willow2 · 05/12/2003 12:23

I'd love another get together - it seems ages since the last one. Richmond is good for me - if that suits you Pie.

CD - sorry yesterday was so short and sweet! We got to the pond a while before you and was concerned that DS would freeze if we stayed out much longer. Anyway, lovely to see you if only for a little while.

pie · 05/12/2003 13:08

When will it be? Would towards the end of January suit everyone?

August24, it doesn't matter where you live, you can go to any meet you like

I'm central West London, end Jan sounds fine. Would have to be a weekend day though. Having not been to a meet before, what sort of place do you normally meet? Do you generally do brunch? or lunch? or dinner? or drink? (non alcoholic of course for those of us carrying.)

vivat · 06/12/2003 00:23

i'm in Hammersmith - end Jan sounds good (but not weekend of 23rd)

Davros · 06/12/2003 08:11

Bloom, where are you going to be living? Although I'm NW I'm very central and go into Town a lot. Was it you moving to Baker St? If so, that's very near.

CountessDracula · 07/12/2003 19:18

I'm away from Jan 18th to 25th so won't be able to come either of those weekends

Bloom · 08/12/2003 21:04

Hi Davros, Yes its Baker Street I am moving to. Where are you?

Davros · 09/12/2003 19:24

I'm in Belsize Park. If you think North (as well as West) then you'd be looking at people "local" to you being in Camden, Primrose Hill, Swiss Cottage, Belsize Park etc. We're not far away as the crow flies (or my car roars!) but a pig on public transport. Best would be a half way meet sometime, say Primrose Hill or Regent's Park..... Let me know.
AUGUST24, where are you?
I remember the chicken man in Shepherds Bush, I lived there for over 7 years a long time ago

august24 · 09/12/2003 19:28

I am in Crouch End. Would love to meet up especially with children who are close in age to mine(2.5 and 5.5)

pie · 09/12/2003 19:37

Davros did you ever see that man who carried the huge white crucifix? Or the guy who wore 80s suits and put his dog in matching jackets?

or the bloke who looked like he was carrying a washing machine until you got closer and realised it was his stomach?

God the Bush had some freaks in it, are they still there? Haven't lived there since 1991 but I bet it's the same!

Anyone remember the bloke in Camden sainsburys who used to walk around eating whole loaves of bread and shouting "The Best of Luck" at the top of his voice? It was around 1995/6, often wondered if he's still there.

Or the poor guy who used to stand outside the building opposite the 3 kings in west ken shaking and quivering (we v kindly named him Shakin' Stevens)

CountessDracula · 09/12/2003 19:41

Pleeeese not weekends I'm away!!!

Slink · 09/12/2003 19:42

pie · 09/12/2003 19:43

OMG the Three Kings I used to do all my drinking there when I was in the Sixth form.

The 'best of luck' guy rings a bell...

Actually they are trying to get rid of all the 'characters' in the Bush cos they are building loads of shopping centres. Gentrification here we come.
